I would love for all of you to get to know each other a little bit before the wedding.

Anyone who's open to it, please email me a photo of you, or a group photo of two or three of you and a few things about you that could open up a conversation with someone new.

-Where are you from

-Things you like to do

-Movies you like

-Books you like

-Favorite Bands/Concerts

-Activities you like to do

If you all get to see each other's faces here, and learn about each other, it will make it easier to fall into conversation when we are all at Ballyfin.

Hello everyone, we are a part of Amy's family.

Steve (Amy's brother) and Erica (Amy's sister-in-law) both live and work in Stamford, CT. Lauren (Amy's younger niece) is a student at Clemson University and will be starting her junior year this fall. Imani (Amy's older niece) currently lives in Washington State with her son Lucas and husband Oliver, who proudly serves in the US Navy and is currently away on active duty.

We enjoy music, movies, weekend getaways, and spending time with friends and family. This will be our first trip to Ireland and we are super excited. We're looking forward to meeting everyone and sharing this special day with Amy and Andrew.

Although we are not related by blood, we are most certainly family! I have been close with the Barnard family since our high school days--long before my sister Erica married Amy’s brother, Steve. Over the years, we’ve shared countless family gatherings and celebrated many milestones together. John, and I are truly honored to be a part of this beautiful celebration of love. We can’t wait to join you in Ireland, spend time with the family, and meet everyone. Congratulations Amy and Andrew!

Amy is my (Carolyn's) first cousin. Her dad, Bill, was my mother's brother, and my uncle. We live in Salem, NH during spring and summer, and spend winter in Spring, Texas. I was an elementary teacher for 39 years, and Erik was an accountant. After retiring, we started traveling, and have seen much of Europe and the US. When we're in Salem, we play in a senior golf league. We try to play while we're in texas, but weather doesn't always cooperate.

We are looking forward to Amy's and Andrew's wedding and meeting their friends and being with family. See you in Ireland!

(Mr. & Mrs.) Helen and Dana Bottcher

Picture of (Mr. & Mrs.) Helen and Dana Bottcher

Helen and Dana Bottcher live in Seattle, Washington, where they enjoy urbans walks, photography, vegan cooking, and binge-watching British crime dramas. Dana owned a rafting and fly fishing business in Seattle, and the couple met through fly fishing.

Helen and Amy became instant best friends in the second grade, bonded by their love of horses (although Helen has long suspected that Amy’s crush on her brother Tom had something to do with the early days of their friendship). Andy Trippel (another wedding guest) was another barn buddy / horse addict, and the three friends spent countless hours mucking stalls, scrubbing water buckets, painting fences (with creosote!), grooming horses and cleaning tack to earn “free” riding lessons.

Helen spent her career working for the federal government including 14 years cleaning up toxic waste sites for the U.S. EPA. Since her retirement in 2023, Helen and Dana have been doing a lot of traveling. This is their first trip to Ireland, and they will be on a 16-day tour prior to the wedding. They are honored to be included in Amy and Andrew’s special day, and can’t wait to meet everyone!

Andrew and Arvan, San Francisco, 2024

Picture of Andrew and Arvan, San Francisco, 2024

Hi, everyone! Arvan and I are thrilled to join with Amy, Andrew, their families, and their friends in celebrating Amy and Andrew’s marriage. We'll be traveling from Sonoma County, California, where we have lived together since 2016, when I moved from Memphis, TN, to be with Arvan. We look forward to sharing more about ourselves during our time together in Ireland!

Amy, Helen, and I met in our pre-teen years through our shared love of horses. While I had been absent from the friendship circle for a while (OK - decades, really!), I was honored to connect with them again during the 2024 Memorial Day weekend in Santa Monica. True friendship is exemplified when you come together after not connecting for a long time and pick up as if it were just yesterday. And that's precisely what happened - a couple of hugs and we were off sharing about ourselves, laughing, and realizing how fortunate we are to have each other. During the weekend, I was delighted to experience Amy as the gracious, loving, caring, strong, and determined person she had been during our young and carefree years. We all change in many ways, but Amy's heart has remained authentic and genuine. It's gratifying to know that Andrew's quiet confidence and love for Amy will continue to nurture her vitality for years to come!

Being asked to be a wedding guest - to bear witness to two individuals coming together and professing their love for and commitment to one another - is one of the most profound compliments one can receive. Amy and (forever) Andrew, Arvan and I are honored to have the opportunity to join you for your wedding weekend. We look forward to meeting so many others who are important to you, renewing or discovering new friendships, and celebrating you both!

See you at Ballyfin!

(Mr. & Mr.) Ted Chigaros and Todd Howell on Atlas' World Navigator to Antarctica for Todd's 60th in 2023.

Picture of (Mr. & Mr.) Ted Chigaros and Todd Howell on Atlas' World Navigator to Antarctica for Todd's 60th in 2023.

Todd met Amy in acting class in 1997 in New York City and met Andrew about 10 years later when both couples we newly formed.

Todd was born and raised in the rural Arkansas town of Arkadelphia...actually outside of town in Caddo Valley, where his grandfather was the local bootlegger. From the moment Todd first saw Jody and Buffy on "Family Affair", he knew he was destined for the bright lights and big city. His lifelong dream of performing on Broadway came true in 2000 in the revival of "Jesus Christ Superstar." From New York City, Todd moved to St. Croix, USVI and then on to Los Angeles where he and Ted met.

Ted is from Chicago where he loved watching the airplanes coming and going from O'Hare. He actually had all the flights memorized down to the type of aircraft. It led to a lifelong fascination with airplanes and the love of flying. He can still look up and tell you what type aircraft is over head. He is an expert and finding free travel perks and playing the loyalty points game. Rome, where he studied his junior year of college, is his favorite city. He's been a healthcare executive for over 30 years.

After L.A. Todd and Ted moved to the Phoenix, AZ area for a couple of years and then onto a different LA, New Orleans. They love their adopted hometown, especially the food and a culture built around celebrating everything. They share their home with Todd's parents and their two dogs Louis and Henri. They are self-professed helicopter dad's. They love travel, renovating homes and entertaining friends at home once the renovation dust clears.

Who you are in relation to me and Andrew

Friends (that sounds so lame! There is way more depth to it!)

-If not family, how/where/when did you meet us

Amy was recommended to Genevieve by Timothy Corrigan in 2018. Genevieve didn’t think she could get the attention of such a high-caliber photographer, but Amy agreed to photograph her Santa Barbara interior design project (happily because, that’s Amy) and Genevieve thought she won the lottery. And, boy, did she win...the friend lottery! Their “old souls” synchronized so easily. After many years of hearing about Andrew’s "Michelin-rated” meals and wit, we met Andrew at our own wedding in New Orleans in 2022. What a very special memory to have you guys there, second-lining with us!

-Where are you from

Originally Genevieve is from Monroe/New Orleans, Louisiana but she has lived in Los Angeles, California for 20 years. David is from Los Angeles and was raised in Sacramento. We currently and happily have planted roots in Hermosa Beach, CA.

-Things you like to do

On any weekend, you will find us biking along the beach, walking through neighborhoods with beautiful architecture, touring gardens, or playing pickleball or tennis. David has golfed some of the best courses in Ireland and Scotland. Genevieve will undoubtedly find an antique furniture flea market anywhere she travels. We love to go to stand-up comedy shows and laugh till we cry together!

-Movies you like

Genevieve enjoys classics and rom coms like Home Alone, The Holiday and any Nancy Meyers movie. David prefers trendier films like Pulp Fiction and Star Wars.

-Books you like

Does Architectural Digest from the 1950s era count?

-Favorite Bands/Concerts

Red Hot Chili Peppers, Journey, Michael Franti, Oingo Boingo. David loves Broadway!

-Activities you like to do

Pet and sing to our bunny rabbits

Relation to you and Andrew: We are friends of the couple and have know them for almost 20 years.

How/when/where did we meet you and Andrew: I met both of Andrew and Amy at the barn, but at slightly different times. I met Andrew first and then worked with Andrew at Latham and then Seyfarth. I met Amy when she and Andrew first met at a horse show. Amy asked us where Andrew was sitting. I remember talking to Andrew about asking Amy out and I told him that he should. I also remember that he told me about maybe their first date when a car got locked in a parking lot at the Hollywood Bowl. I’m sure Andrew was talking about lot and they missed the cut off to get the car. Dan now frequently mediates with Andrew.

Where are you from: Dan and I currently live in Hollywood. I am from Southern California and Dan was born in Illinois.

Movies we like: Dan can watch the same movie over and over. He probably can recite the Star Wars trilogy by heart and possibly the Godfather I and II. If it is a mobster movie, he’s in. I also like those movies but prefer more variety. Lately, I’ve watched more series than movies and consider Breaking Bad probably one of the best.

Books we like: Dan prefers non-fiction and loves biographies. He liked the Grant and George Washington biographies by Chernow. I like fiction and I will read both classics and modern works. I am part of a book club that reads only foreign writers. I also like the Goldfinch, the Plague, and the Unbearable Lightness of Being.

Favorite bands and concerts: I love music and have been to so many concerts that it is hard to pick a favorite. Recently, I liked the Eagles and thought the Tears for Fears concert was unexpectedly amazing. I love the Cure and The Rolling Stones. Classical is terrific too. Dan is a Beatles fan and although he could never see them live, he loved the Paul McCartney concert.

Activities: Dan likes boxing and running. I am more of a gym rat and I’m trying hard to get back into riding.

Picture of (Mr. & Mrs.) Genevieve Dutil and Dan Greenberger

DAN GREENBERGER and GENEVIEVE DUTIL have been married since 2011, though they've been together for much longer than that. (Sound familiar?)

Genevieve is an avid equestrian and has ridden with Andrew - same barn, same coach - for almost 20 years. She is a professional landscape architect and a passionate world-traveler. Some of our favorite trips together have been to India, Egypt and Antarctica.

Dan has been a TV writer for almost 30 years - currently working for CBS - and more recently a published novelist. He is an avid tennis player - who would play every day if his body didn't hurt so much!

They are proud parents/owners of Shirley, the greatest cat ever.

Ms. Marce Olson

Scrolling through my photos to find one to share, I realized: it’s nearly impossible to find a picture of me without a horse! So I suppose it’s safe to say that Amy, Andrew, and I all share a deep love for horses.

Amy and I actually rode at the same ranch and trained with the same coach for years. We met in 2008 at a birthday party for my then-trainer’s daughter—Amy was the photographer, I was there with my two Italian Greyhounds—and we started chatting. Instant connection. We’ve been friends ever since.

Over the years, I’ve had the joy of helping Amy with many of her photo shoots—from school assignments to a full-on road trip with the horses for a product launch for our mutual friend, Joel. I’ve always admired Amy’s creativity, her eye for beauty, and the dedication she’s poured into building her photography business.

Some of my fondest memories include Fourth of July picnics at the Rose Bowl with Amy and Andrew—especially Andrew’s gourmet cooking – best picnics ever!

Though I’m a homebody at heart, my career has taken me around the world—from New York to Hawaii, London, Paris, the South of France, and even down to South America. Ask me about travel—I've stayed in some of the best hotels in the world – all in the name of work. Before starting my own company, I even got to bring Amy along on a scouting trip to Jumby Bay in Antigua and chic St. Barths. Last year brought even more magic: experiencing Morocco’s soulful beauty and Milan’s irresistible style.

I truly can’t wait to celebrate Amy and Andrew’s love story with all of you. It’s been a long time coming, and I feel so lucky to be part of it—and to meet all of you who mean so much to them.

(Mr. and Mrs.) Casey and Michelle Capparelli

Picture of (Mr. and Mrs.) Casey and Michelle Capparelli

Casey and I are both from MA, we moved to CA in 1997, when Casey took a job with Amgen. We had the intention of just staying for a few years and here we are, 28 years later! Like many others, horses are the common denominator for how I met Andrew and later Amy. There are few men at the barn and if I’m honest I take great pleasure in teasing Andrew!

While I’m riding my horse, Casey can usually be found on his boat fishing! Together we enjoy spending time in the garden, walking the dogs and exploring new places. We’re always up for a good concert, our most recent one being David Gray! We are really looking forward to the big day and our time in Ireland!

Who you are in relation to me and Andrew: not related by blood, but have considered Andrew my California dad for the last 27 years.

Originally from Miami, Florida

I LOVE to travel! My travel is wildlife or adventure based usually, but I just like to experience new cultures and places. I also like to ride horses, hike, play soccer, and scuba dive.

I'm a romcom sap, so I love The Holiday, Love Actually, Hitch...other movies not in that genre...I don't remember haha.

Book: The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari by Robin Sharma is one of my favorites

I don't go to many concerts. I love Ed Sheeran.

Activities: hike, travel, scuba dive, surf, camp, soccer

(Mr. and Mrs.) Will Hannum & Sara Schwartz

Picture of (Mr. and Mrs.) Will Hannum & Sara Schwartz

Sara became best buddies with Andy in college — in fact they traveled together in Ireland, a trip highlighted by an unscheduled stop in Belfast in 1987. …. Will met Andy, and Sara and Will both met Amy, at home in North Andover, MA, during one of Amy and Andy’s trips from LA to NH.

Sara is from the Boston area (born and raised), and she also has strong family ties to NYC, where she spent 3 years just before high school. Will was born on Nantucket, was raised in Maine, and went to high school and college in western Massachusetts.

Sara and Will met through a recruiter, in 1999, when Sara hired Will to work at the labor & employment law firm that Sara started in 1995. Sara and Will were married on Nantucket in 2004. They have five adult children (a Brady Bunch group from their first marriages) and one grandchild. The five range in age from 24 to 33. Four are married (or engaged). One is neither. Three and a half of them live in the Boston area. One is moving to Atlanta. And a half lives in Cleveland.

For over twenty years, Sara and Will have enjoyed running a law firm together. …. Now Will is writing, reading a lot, and recovering from being Managing Partner. …. Sara is practicing law still, ideally in moderation, while also taking on two other “projects”: (a) creating a new business that sells her photography and (b) beginning a dream project of restoring an historic house in Concord, MA, the hometown of her beloved high school.

Sara loves RomComs, Last Christmas, and anything even remotely similar to Downton Abbey. Will likes those kinds of movies and TV shows, too, as well as movies that he gets to watch once a year, like The Big Lebowski and Scrooge, if he’s been good.

Sara loves historical fiction, and a couple of Nantucket beach reads every summer. And she loves working on her photography.

Will loves to read almost anything. (E.g., memoirs; Michael Lewis, Ben Macintyre, Erik Larson, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Timothy Snyder, Masha Gessen, Anne Applbaum, Alexander Solzhenitsyn; 20th century history, particularly having to do with WWI, WWII and/or Eastern Europe, Russia, and/or China; Lao Tzu, Chuang Tzu, Dögen, Thich Nhat Hanh, and Ryokan; ancient Chinese poets; Zen Buddhism; Tibetan Buddhism; the works of St. Francis, Thérèse of Lisieux, and Julian of Norwich; the Gnostic Gospels; etc.)

Sara and Will basically listen to the same music their parents used to listen to, music like James Taylor, Carly Simon, Carole King, Don McLean, Janis Joplin, Cat Stevens, etc. Also the Rat Pack, Ella, Frank Sinatra, and the Glen Miller Orchestra. And George Michael. And a cappella music.

And the ocean. We absolutely love listening to the ocean.

Sara does Pilates. …. Will does yoga. …. And we walk a lot. On the beach, or on trails, or in and around historic villages or cities. Taking photos along the way. With our 2.5 year old, 105 lbs. puppy, Sophie.

(Mr. & Mr.) Micheal Vilkin and Steven Wright

Picture of (Mr. & Mr.) Micheal Vilkin and Steven Wright

Michael, Steven and Amy first met at a party through their mutual friend Joel Chauran around 2015. In 2018 they were once again brought together through Joel when Amy was looking for an interesting house to photograph as a personal project. Upon seeing our home and hearing our story she asked if we would be interested in having the home published. We said yes, and a magazine article was put together, and soon after, the idea of doing a full coffee table book was imagined. We are now in the final stages of finishing the book and hope for publication within the year.

Michael Vilkin is a fine art painter living with his husband, Steven Wright and their home is in Santa Barbara, CA. Michael grew up in Beverly Hills, California, attended Stanford University for a degree in psychology, and the University of California, Berkeley for an MBA, before moving to Baltimore to live with Steven for four years.

Steven Wright is a socialite who lives with his husband, Michael Vilkin in Santa Barbara. Steven, MIchael, and Amy are writing a book about their home, Pentimento. Steven retired from the federal government last millennia in 1999, subsequently working with Michael building houses and entertaining. He and Michael have two imaginary dogs named Chippy and Maggie who double as guard dogs for the house when Michael and Steven are away traveling.

Mr. Joel Chauran

Picture of Mr. Joel Chauran

I met Amy and Andrew at a party for another good friend of ours, Laura Wachal (also a wedding guest) about 15 years ago.

The party was being held in the courtyard of the property where both Laura and I lived, and at some point during the event Amy asked to see my apartment. When she saw a photo of me competing at a horse show we both realized we were officially horse crazy and fell right into a friendship.

For many years I had a successful career as a professional horse trainer, winning several national and regional championships in saddle seat, with many great Arabian and Morgan horses.

After a while I felt the pull to return to school and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from CCAC in San Francisco California specializing in Industrial Design.

I then began a design career traveling the globe developing product for retailers including Williams Sonoma Group, Marshall Fields, Neiman Marcus, Target-Stores, World Market, Pier 1, Pottery Barn, and many more.

Most recently I started my own design company, creating both jewelry and handbags with equestrian inspired designs, called URBAN-EQUESTRIAN. Amy has been one of my main photographers for this brand and we have had an incredible time collaborating together.

Besides work and horses, I am a huge music fan with favorite bands including: Sade, Prince, Depeche Mode and Massive Attack.

I currently live in Santa Barbara, CA.

Ms. Michelle Meghrouni

Picture of Ms. Michelle Meghrouni

I’ve known Andrew for something like 27 or 28 years…yikes, long before we both went grey! We met when we both rode at LA Equestrian Center, and we’ve been riding with the same trainers ever since. Amy started to ride a the same barn oh so many years ago. I believe I was there at the beginning of one of Andrew and Amy’s first “dates” - when Andrew strategically commandeered a car ride with Amy back from a barn dinner.

As for me, I, too, am an attorney, but hoping not to be in another year. I’m a crazy animal person, having adopted many old or special needs dogs, a rescue chicken and a handful of freeway finds. I’ve been vegetarian for 37 years - vegan for the last seven. Like many of the other guests, I love to travel and am looking forward to the next great adventure. Living in Altadena, the Eaton Fire presented a challenging start to 2025, but I can’t think of a better way to spend a beautiful weekend in May than with many old (both long time and truly old) friends!

Picture of (Mr. & Mrs.) Gillian Brashear & Jaret Sacrey

We are Gillian and Jaret Sacrey. We met as acting students in New York over 30 years ago and we’ve stayed integrated with the artform in various careers ever since. We live in LA and love to travel, spend time with our horse and play music with our two teen boys.

We met Amy through our barn where we both kept our beloved geldings. This was same barn where Marce had her horses so you can see the connection threading through this. I (Gillian) don’t remember how we struck up our friendship but what I do recall is Amy’s infectious smile and joyous spirit that make it easy for her to talk to anyone about anything. Before I knew it, we were connecting on music, artistic vision, the metaphysical and, of course, horses.

My real introduction to Andrew was through the Zoom get-togethers with Amy and Marce during lockdown, when we’d see Andrew baking up some bready delight in the background. I’m pretty sure I could smell those French baguettes through the internet.

We also know Joel through the incredible photo shoot that Amy produced for his gorgeous and chic equestrian accessory line. Our gelding, Avatar, was one of the featured models. It was a highlight of our time together at our barn and with our trainer.

Since then, we’ve all moved to different barns but have stayed connected. We are overjoyed to be a part of this splendid celebration for Amy and Andrew and look forward to meeting everyone.

-Who you are in relation to me and Andrew

Friends! :)

-If not family, how/where/when did you meet us

I met Andrew in the early 1990s, when we both worked at Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles. Chris met Andrew through climbing. Then Andrew set us up and the rest is history. We met Amy shortly before we moved to Boise in the mid-2000s.

-Where are you from

Boise, Idaho.

-Things you like to do

Currently - we like to ski and get outdoors with the dog. Back in the day, we climbed, cycled, backpacked, mountaineered, and did triathlons. Now that the nest is empty, we may pick up those things again. Or we might just laze around. Remains to be seen.

-Movies you like

No current attention span for movies, but favorite streaming series include Slow Horses and Jeeves & Wooster

-Books you like

Currently reading Lab Girl, by Hope Jahren and short stories by PG Wodehouse (Marci). Chris is more into podcasts - frequent listens include Scott Galloway podcasts

-Favorite Bands/Concerts

Lyle Lovett - he is the absolute best in concert. Aside from that, I lean country (Dwight Yoakam, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson... you get the idea). Chris's tastes are more eclectic. He is currently infecting my spotify with Uncle Tupelo. He's also a big jazz fan. One of our favorite concerts was Joshua Redman at the Hollywood Bowl.

(Mr. & Mrs.) Deborah Sigel & Craig Weinstein

Picture of (Mr. & Mrs.) Deborah Sigel & Craig Weinstein

Deborah Siegel and Craig Weinstein live in Los Angeles and are both lawyers. Deborah met Andrew when he was a summer associate at Latham & Watkins over three decades ago. They became fast friends and later were roommates at Deborah’s condo in Santa Monica, where Andrew still lives to this date.

While roommates they had two cats together, Bo and Ariel. Many years later, long after Deborah moved out with Bo, Amy moved in with her cat, Vienna. As we all know, Amy and Andrew have a magic touch with animals and were wonderful geriatric parents to Ariel and Vienna who both made it close to 20.

Bo, Ariel and Vienna will all be looking down on Amy and Andrew from kitty heaven on their wedding day. Like the rest of us, they will be saying “It’s about time!”

We are excited to share this special day with the bride and groom, and all of you.
