"As a lot of the kids do these days," Kevin and Amy first connected via an online dating site in 2015. Amy had just moved to Rochester and wanted to pace herself in the dating world, especially since she had also recovered from double-jaw surgery and did not want to shock anyone with her remaining braces and limited&nbsp;diet. Even so, she could not help but send a&nbsp;message to the smiling face with a well-crafted&nbsp;profile that had popped up one day&nbsp;during a random search. Kevin was meticulous in choice of photos and did not shy away from expanding on his interests in television and video games.&nbsp;After several carefully worded e-mail exchanges with good intentions and comical undertones, they finally agreed to meet in person.

Kevin had suggested taking a walk by the Pittsford Canal. He smoothly added that "if things go well, we could get dinner." This caveat only daunted and intrigued Amy even more. After all, on "The Bachelor," contestants are only awarded an extension to their one-on-one date after receiving a rose, a sign of a satisfactory connection. With well-guarded poker faces, Amy and Kevin ended up walking in the rain (classic upstate New&nbsp;York) for hours. But unsurprisingly, both parties passed!





Amy was relieved and impressed when Kevin provided a list of options for dinner. They settled on Simply Crepes, the same restaurant that had catered his sister's wedding only a few months earlier. Kevin and Amy realized that they both shared a similar taste in cuisine as well as a propensity for seeking out the richest desserts.&nbsp;The night ended&nbsp;across the street at Pittsford Farms Dairy with a debate over the ending to "Falling Skies" over a shared dish of ice cream.



True to form and using a line Amy would come to mock unceasingly,&nbsp;Kevin waved and&nbsp;promised, "my people will call your people."

This is the most convenient airport to fly into for any out of town guests. It is located downtown in the heart of San Diego and about 30 minutes from the wedding venue. If you plan to explore different city sights, it is highly recommended you&nbsp;rent a vehicle. San Diego is also Uber-accessible, with fares ranging $40-60 between Poway and downtown.&nbsp;

Located next to historic Balboa Park and minutes from downtown, the San Diego Zoo is the city's most famous attraction. Prepare to give yourself an entire day to try to see the wide range of animals residing at the zoo.

A local hotspot, San Diego Zoo&nbsp;Safari Park is&nbsp;the Zoo's alternative&nbsp;site, where many of the Zoo's most exotic animals are raised and nurtured. It is located closer to Poway than downtown and offers special experiences throughout each season. Don't forget to check out the endangered California condors or the Cheetah Run!

If you are planning on a trip to the beach, do not forget a sweater! Though it is Southern California, it is still quite chilly in November, especially closer to the water. La Jolla is an upscale beach community with high-end shopping and beautiful coves to check out during a sunset walk. For coffee, we recommend The Living Room...Or if you're hungry for casual takeout, check out Kevin's favorite spot, Burger Lounge!

Only a few minutes from the airport, this museum is located on the historic USS Midway. Whether you enjoy flight simulations, checking out various aircrafts, or taking in views from the harbor, this attraction will not disappoint!

Enjoy model&nbsp;trains, natural history, antique cars, or gazing at Spanish architecture ? Check out Balboa Park and get some beautiful photos while exploring various museums. If you have time, don't forget to look into the IMAX movies&nbsp;in the Eugene Heikoff and Marilyn Jacobs Heikoff Giant Dome Theater.
