What airport should I fly into?
There are three options. 1. Allentown (ABE) is the closest, but smallest airport. You will likely have a layover and potentially a hard time getting a rental car. 2. Newark (EWR) this is the second closest to the resort and if you plan on extending your travel and spending a night or two in NYC, this is your best option. 3. Philidelphia (PHL) Southwest flies direct from STL and Denver and most major cities. It's about an hour and 45 mins from the resort. Please plan on renting a car from all airports.
Are my kids allowed at the events?
Our wedding and reception are adult-only events. However, your kids are invited to the beach party on Saturday!
Do I need to put a deposit down to book a cabin?
Yes, there is a 50% deposit required to book.
When should I arrive and leave?
Most guests are planning on arriving on Thursday (our wedding is on Friday) and departing on Sunday but if you would like to extend your trip, we encourage you to do!
How do I get to the resort from the airport?
We highly recommend renting a car and coordinating flight times with other guests but if you choose, there are car/limo services in the area. You can also Uber to the resort, but we cannot promise an Uber will be available on your ride from the resort back to the airport (it is a remote area).
What do I do if the resort is full when I call to book?
There are Airbnb's in the area and a Best Western down the street. Please do not drink and drive if you stay off of the resort.
Is there internet access in the cabins?
Yes!
Is there a restaurant on the property?
No. There is a grocery store about a 10-minute drive from the resort and very limited delivery, we recommend renting a car and stocking your cabin.
I am planning on bringing my kids, does the resort have access to trusted babysitters?
The resort does not have relationships with babysitters. If you would like to bring your kids to the resort, please plan on also bringing a babysitter.
Is the ceremony and reception in the same location?
Weather permitting, no. The ceremony will be at Boat Row and the reception will be at The Lodge. Both locations are on the resort. If it rains, the wedding ceremony will be at St.Mark's Lutheran Church.
If I stay off of the property, can I drive to the wedding?
Weather permitting, we plan on having the ceremony outside. We ask that all of our guests drive to The Lodge and get on a shuttle that will bring you to the wedding ceremony site. There is no space for parking at the ceremony site. If it rains, you will be able to drive directly to St.Mark's Lutheran Church and then to The Lodge for the reception.
I am staying on the resort, how do I get to the wedding ceremony site?
We have shuttles that will begin picking all of our guests up from designated pick-up areas around 4:15 on Friday. They will also shuttle you to the reception and back to your cabins at the end of the night. More details will be given upon arrival.
Where is the bonfire after-party?
Weather permitting, we plan on having an after-party at The Orchard.
What is the attire for the Wedding?
Black Tie Optional! We are excited to get all dressed up for our special day and would love for you to join us. If you prefer not to wear a long dress/tux please join us in a cocktail dress/dark-colored suit.
What is the attire for the beach party?
This event is very casual and we invite you to wear whatever you want. Speedos welcome.
Are the Ubers well available in the area?
Unfortunatly, this is unpredictable given the remote area. We suggest you get in touch with a limo service or cab company if you are staying off property.
Are there nicer accommodations than the Best Western?
Yes, but they are much further away. We love Skytop resort and their accommodations are beautiful but it is about a 30-minute drive from our resort and the roads are very dark and windy - a limo service is highly suggested.
