Our Wedding

Tommy and Amy met on November 5th, 2016 at Audrey Corby's wedding. Amy was a bridesmaid and after getting ready at the bride's house she needed a ride to the church. Tommy was given the duty to pick up Kevin Corby's (the bride's brother) girlfriend and happened to be in the right place at the right time. Amy asked Tommy if&nbsp;she could get a ride to the church in his car, and he kindly obliged. They both felt immediate sparks and Amy made sure to find Tommy on the dance floor at the reception. Two weeks after the wedding Tommy traveled&nbsp;to Nashville to take Amy on their first date and they have been together ever since!&nbsp;

**UPDATE: Your cabin will be held for you and your reservation is automatically moved to our new wedding date: Friday, Sept 10th, 2021. If you wish to receive a refund due to the date change, please call the main office. Please know that if you cancel, your cabin will be given to one of our guests on the accommodation waiting list and it will not be available for you to rebook closer to our wedding.**Once you have received a save the date, please call the main office to book your stay. Due to limited availability, if you would like to stay in a multi-room cabin, it will need to be filled to capacity (you will need to pick another couple or two to share with) before booking. First come, first serve. If/when the resort is filled, there is a Best Western down the street and multiple Airbnb options.The wedding and reception are adult-only events. However, if you wish to make this a family vacation your kids are welcome at the resort. If you chose to bring your children, please make arrangements to bring your babysitter.

The resort is full of fun summer activities!&nbsp;Each cabin comes with it's own row boat to use for fishing or a self-guided champagne tour of the lake. Kayaks, fishing poles, trolling motors,&nbsp;paddle boards and paddle boats are available for rental. Ask Tommy for his favorite fishing spots!

There are two beaches with lounge chairs, playgrounds, tetherball&nbsp;and badminton courts . Each beach has a floating raft in the lake, which is Amy's favorite Summer spot to get some sun.&nbsp;

Last but not least, there is a trail that goes around the lake.&nbsp;

FAQ's

What airport should I fly into?

There are three options. 1. Allentown (ABE)&nbsp;is the closest, but smallest airport. You will likely have a layover and potentially a hard time getting a rental car. 2. Newark (EWR) this is the second closest to the resort and if you plan on extending your travel and&nbsp;spending a night or two in NYC, this is your best option. 3. Philidelphia (PHL) Southwest flies direct from STL and Denver and most major cities. It's about an hour and 45 mins&nbsp;from the resort. Please plan on renting a car from all airports.&nbsp;

Are my kids allowed at the events?

Our wedding and reception are adult-only events. However,&nbsp;your kids&nbsp;are invited to the beach party on Saturday!

Do I need to put a deposit down to book a cabin?

Yes, there is a 50% deposit required to book.&nbsp;

When should I arrive and leave?

Most guests are planning on arriving on Thursday (our wedding is on Friday)&nbsp;and departing&nbsp;on Sunday but if you would like to extend your trip, we encourage you to do!&nbsp;

How do I get to the resort from the airport?

We highly recommend renting a car and coordinating flight times with other guests but if you choose, there are car/limo&nbsp;services in the area. You can also Uber to the resort, but we cannot promise an Uber will be available on your ride from the resort back to the airport (it is a remote area).&nbsp;

What do I do if the resort is full when I call to book?

There are Airbnb's in the area and a Best Western down the street. Please do not drink and drive if you stay off of the resort.&nbsp;

Is there internet access in the cabins?

Is there a restaurant on the property?

No.&nbsp;There is a grocery store about a 10-minute drive from the resort and very limited delivery, we recommend renting a car and stocking your cabin.&nbsp;

I am planning on bringing my kids, does the resort have access to trusted babysitters?

The resort does not have relationships with babysitters. If you would like to bring your kids to the resort, please plan on also&nbsp;bringing a&nbsp;babysitter.&nbsp;

Is the ceremony and reception in the same location?

Weather permitting, no.&nbsp;The ceremony will be at Boat Row&nbsp;and the reception will be at The Lodge. Both locations are on the resort. If it rains, the wedding&nbsp;ceremony will be at St.Mark's Lutheran Church.&nbsp;

If I stay off of the property, can I drive to the wedding?

Weather permitting, we plan on having the ceremony outside.&nbsp;We ask that all of our guests drive to The Lodge and get on a shuttle that will&nbsp;bring you to the wedding ceremony site. There is no space for parking at the ceremony site. If it rains, you will be able to drive directly to St.Mark's Lutheran Church and then to The Lodge for the reception.

I am staying on the resort, how do I get to the wedding ceremony site?

We have shuttles that will begin picking all of our guests up from designated pick-up areas around 4:15 on Friday.&nbsp; They will also shuttle you to the reception and back to your cabins at the end of the night. More details will be given upon arrival.

Where is the bonfire after-party?

Weather permitting, we plan on having an after-party at The Orchard.

What is the attire for the Wedding?

Black Tie Optional! We are excited to get all dressed up for our special day and would love for you to join us. If you prefer not to wear a long dress/tux please join us in a cocktail dress/dark-colored suit.&nbsp;

What is the attire for the beach party?

This event is very casual and we invite you to wear&nbsp;whatever you want. Speedos welcome.&nbsp;

Are the Ubers well available in the area?

Unfortunatly, this is unpredictable given the remote area. We suggest you get in touch with a limo service or cab company if you are staying off property.

Are there nicer accommodations than the Best Western?

Yes, but they are much further away. We love Skytop resort and their accommodations are beautiful but it is about a 30-minute drive from our resort and the roads are very dark and windy - a limo service is highly suggested.&nbsp;
