The wedding venue is located 5 minutes drive from Amalfi, Italy. We highly recommend staying in the town of Amalfi from May 27 - 30th as it will be around 80 euros each way to taxi from other coastal towns (ex. Ravello) to and from the wedding venue.
**Please ensure you have a Passport as soon as possible. If you already have a Passport, check the expiration date! If your Passport expires 6 months or less from the date of travel, you will be refused from traveling out of the country to Italy and will need to renew your Passport to avoid issues**
We have secured a travel agent to help you with your travel needs, if desired. You may reach out to D'Luca Luxury Travel for assistance with booking your stay, flights, car rental or anything you may need for your travel (no planning fee!). https://dlucaluxurytraveldesigners.com/
Getting to Amalfi
There are two ways you can travel to Amalfi, Italy:
-Fly into Rome and then train / drive from Rome to Naples.
-Fly into to Naples (most likely with a connection in either Rome, London or Paris). This is the closest airport to Amalfi.
From Salerno or Naples, you will then need to either take a ferry, taxi or bus to Amalfi.
Taxi prices from Naples to Amalfi: ~200 euros (1 hour and 45 minutes)
Ferry prices from Naples to Amalfi: ~30 euros from airport/train station to port. ~50 euros per person for ferry ticket. (~3 hours)
Bus price from Naples to Amalfi: ~30 euros per person.
(~3 hours). Buses from Naples airport come on an hourly basis, if you must wait for a bus, there are food and drink options at the airport. Please note, the buses can be crowded so you may end up standing with your luggage during the trip.
We do not recommend renting a car as the parking is difficult/expensive and driving is unpleasant if you did not grow up in the area (very cliffside and tight).
Regarding flights, we recommend tracking flight fares starting now to ensure you can find the best deals! All the blogs will say to start seriously looking 6 months before your trip but we highly suggest setting up alerts on Google Flights, Hopper, or checking in with The Points Guy for alerts on deals and ways to leverage credit card points and miles.
Getting around the Amalfi Coast
Private taxi hire - there are many taxi companies that operate from each major town on the Amalfi Coast. Your hotel or Airbnb should be able to assist you in booking a taxi from your accommodation.
SITA Bus - This local bus has stops all over the Amalfi coast with fares typically around 5 euros. Tickets are sold at small kiosks in each towns main square but they are not well advertised. If you need help, usually a local or another tourist can help you locate it. Note: buy bus tickets in bulk. You can purchase them in bulk for a specific route (Amalfi to Ravello for example) and this will save you having to rush to a kiosk every time you need to catch the bus. The line at the kiosk can be long.
Ferry - You can take a ferry to many places along the coast, and to the island of Capri.
