Things to Do

Saint Charles

Amy's hometown and where both of her parents grew up! We've included a few of our favorite places to get a drink or a bite to eat!

Dukes Northwoods

7 E Main St, St. Charles, IL 60174, USA
(331) 235-5818

An old fashion is a staple of our relationship. Kyle's still working on perfecting his craft, but Duke's has theirs down. If you don't like bourbon, Amy's dad loves the tequila old fashion and the cheese curds are up to Wisconsin's standards.

Alter Brewing + Kitchen

12 S 1st St, St. Charles, IL 60174, USA
(331) 901-5949

Kyle said one of the best things about Amy is that "she likes beer" (so endearing). A quick walk from the church and a 1 minute (82 feet) walk to the reception, this is the perfect place to get a cold drink before the party begins!

Pollyanna Brewing & Distilling Company - St Charles

106 S Riverside Ave, St. Charles, IL 60174, USA
(630) 549-7372

A short walk across the River, Pollyanna is a St. Charles staple for Amy. Situated along the river and with indoor and outdoor seating, its a great place to grab a flight or pint. FYI food must be ordered in.

Pomodoro E Mozzarella

1850 W Main St, St. Charles, IL 60174, USA
(630) 549-0589

A hidden gem found by Amy's grandpa, they import ingredients and wines straight from Italy! The calamari, Fresca Pizza (proscuitto, arugula, asiago, and EVOO), and Quattro Formaggi are some of the Seraphin family's favorites. Be sure to ask Maggie about the bread.

Brunch Cafe-St.Charles

172 S 1st St, St. Charles, IL 60174, USA
(630) 940-2814

A favorite spot after 7:30am Sunday mass and a quick walk from Saint Pat's or The Baker. Amy hasn't ordered anything besides the sweet potato skillet in years.

Geneva

The town just south of Saint Charles. If Amy ever left the city, Geneva would be at the top of the list! The food scene and little boutiques are exquisite.

Edie Boutique

301 W State St, Geneva, IL 60134, USA
(630) 402-0129

Amy and Maggie's favorite place to go shopping when they are home. Amy famously did not have a dress for a wedding, which was due to begin in 4 hours, and in 10 minutes walked out with two from Edie! Decisive!

The Little Traveler

404 S 3rd St, Geneva, IL 60134, USA
(630) 232-4200

The quintessential shop of Geneva! This old house turned shop has 36 rooms to explore with everything and anything your heart desires. They even have a cute cafe that you can get lunch.

Barrel + Rye

477 S 3rd St Ste 184, Geneva, IL 60134, USA
(630) 402-0647

When anyone came to visit (Kyle included), Amy takes them here! The drinks (*chefs kiss*) and food are fabulous and you can sit outside in the summer! You can't go wrong!

Preservation

513 S 3rd St, Geneva, IL 60134, USA
(630) 208-1588

A wine bar with small bites and shared plates. Kyle is dying to go!

Bien Trucha

410 W State St, Geneva, IL 60134, USA
(630) 232-2665

Feeling like a marg will make your weekend magnificent? Amy's favorite margaritas and tacos in the area. But beware, seating is limited!

Nosh

22 N 3rd St, Geneva, IL 60134, USA
(630) 845-1570

A great spot for breakfast or lunch and conveniently located near Geneva's shopping district.
