Amy and Patrick met on a cool October morning in 2015. Amy was a coxswain on the Manhattan College women's rowing team, and Patrick was a new rower on the men's team. Amy didn't usually cox for the men's team, but on this particular morning she was assigned to a men's novice 8+ (which she was not very happy about) with Patrick as stroke. Before shoving off the dock, Patrick bravely introduced himself. Amy impatiently snapped, "I know" and got back to business. Patrick, undeterred, continued to try to connect with Amy, messaging her outside of practice, helping her organize rowing events, and even taking a Linear Algebra class he didn't need (and didn't really want to take) so they could spend more time together.

Patrick's persistence paid off; they have been together since November 2015. For the better part of a decade, they have supported each other through all of life's major (and minor) events. From college graduations to new jobs, from cross-town moves to cross-state moves, from graduate school to the real world, Amy and Patrick have been there for each other. They can't wait to make it official on July 19th, 2025.
