The Brazilian currency is called real (plural is reais). Currently, 1 US dollar corresponds to about 5.15 reais. You will not be able to use US dollars in Fortaleza. Currency exchange agencies can be found at the airport but they will have the worst exchange rate. Better exchange rates from a bank or other currency agencies can be found near your hotel. You can also use any major credit card at most locations in Fortaleza.

Uber works really well in Fortaleza and you can use the same app and payment you already have on your phone. This should also be a pretty cheap way to get around due to everything being being nearby.

As much as we would love to host your little one for the wedding activities, those are adult-only unless stated on your invite that your child is also on the list. However, we totally understand that you may want to bring your child to enjoy the trip and the beauty of Brazil. In this case, we will have nannies available to look over them during the wedding activities. The nannies will come to the hotel you are staying at for your convenience.
