How will a Spanish-Australian-Danish wedding be?

These three fabolous countries aren't precisely neighbours. We feel very excited to have this unique opportunity to blend this international mix of friends and family. We think if our bilingual love story has suceeded, this magical event will too. Only our closest and most special people will be coming and we know it's a recipe for a day of fun and celebration of our love. To keep all of you across what's happening during the event, we'll distribute translated documents so everyone can follow. However, we do hope that as the day advances, you'll all end up speaking the same language and dancing with eachother.

WILL THERE BE ANY ACTIVITIES before THE WEDDING?

For those who are looking to arrive to Barcelona before the wedding, we are looking to organise two optional and casual activities (no need to book anything, just show up). First, we'll have a welcome 'aperitivo' at Ana's parents place (Tuesday 11 April) followed by a tour of the older part of the city and takeaway from the food market (Thursday 13 April). You can let us know if you are interested in the RSVP and we'll send you more info closer to the date.

How can I get to the venue?

We'll organise buses leaving from the city. If you'd like to join a bus, please let us know via RSVP and we'll share the details with you. Alternatively, you can drive or book a taxi to the following adress: Can Magí (venue), Av. de Can Magí, 5 (street), 08173 (postcode), Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona (suburb, city).

Can I beat Spanish people at dancing?

The answer is as easy as pie: no, you can't. They simply have years and generations of practice ahead of you. Spanish hips have developed in the wound to perform sensational movements. Rythm is our spaghetti sauce! Spain has over 200 traditional dances. Not to mention the latino influences, which are frecuently spotted in local clubs. Some examples for your delight: 1. Sardanes, a catalan traditional dance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIsaK53Nqug. 2. Flamenco, from Andalucia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3ZTcuw1U-U. And one of the younguest generation's favourites, reggaeton: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Poacb8t5aNg&t=294s

Can I get pick pocketed in Barcelona?

If you look like a tourist, and act like a tourist, you unfortunately might. Barcelona is not a dangerous city but small thieving is common around tourist attractions. Keep your precious belongings in front pockets and never leave them on the table at a terrace restaurant. If anyone comes to talk to you and tries to distract you (ie get you to read something), it's best to not engage. Reach out to Max or Ana for any help.
