It all began on a fall evening, more than a decade ago now. It was September 20, 2012. He was finally settling in to attending Valencia College after moving back to Orlando, FL, the place he was born but had been away in Rhode Island, Georgia, Jacksonville, etc. His long time high school friends were students at UCF and invited him to a social gathering to reunite. She was a Freshman at University of Central Florida, in her lifelong home of Orlando, and her roommate invited her to hang out with one of her co-workers. In attempting to make friends, this annoying guy starts making the rounds asking everyone in the home their names, maybe 2 or 3 times, but he's kind of cute though. They end up sitting next to each other on the couch-- "Hi, I'm Andi," "Hi, I'm Josh." The conversation really gets going when he introduces his cat as "Deimos," and she responds with "Oh, like the moon of Mars?," and continues on for 4 more hours. A first kiss, a first date 2 days later where the pair has a blast at a BBQ joint trivia night (and come in second place), and the rest is history!

Josh proposed on October 29, 2021 while they were on a beautiful trip to the island of Puerto Rico with some of their close friends. The proposal was long awaited after being delayed by a cross-country move from Orlando to Cleveland, OH, 4 years of medical school for Andi during which an engagement was out of the question, and then that 1.5 years from 2020-2021 where time seemed to disappear during COVID. Josh did an amazing job getting the ring, asking for her parent's blessing, finding the perfect view on a cliff overlooking the ocean, and keeping it all a complete surprise.

Andi and Josh have now been a couple for 12 years, and are so excited to finally make it official with their upcoming marriage. They have spent their time traveling to new places, trying new foods and eventually pairing them with fancy wines, catching Andi up on the movies and TV shows that she had never watched, and generally building a wonderful life together. Their love of travel inspired a destination wedding to Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada, and they are so excited for all their collective family and friends to both share in our celebration and to create new experiences and memories of their own.
