Ryan is Ty’s cousin. Although they have always been close, once they were in high school and could drive the 35 minutes to each other’s houses they became even closer. Ryan is good vibes personified & there is no one Ty would rather go camping with.

Meghan and Andrea met playing college volleyball together at Wittenberg University and have been besties ever since. They have been planning their weddings together since 2011 and the days of productive all-nighters at club lib, and this year they’ve gotten to do it for real since Meghan is also a 2024 bride.

Jordan and Ty lived on the same street and spent their formative years playing on the same sports teams. They grew up competing in anything and everything - from basketball to golf to ping pong to video games. There hasn’t been a phase in Ty’s life that didn’t include Jordan.

Emma was one of the first people Andrea met after moving back to Indiana. She helped welcome Andrea into the Indianapolis volleyball community, and they quickly became friends outside of volleyball. Emma always brings adventure and laughter to Andrea’s life, and never forgets to play Ke$ha when Andrea attends her cycling class.

Tom and Ty became friends through middle school basketball (ask Tom about the time he scored on the wrong basket). They became close throughout high school and college. Ty appreciates Tom’s ability to take a joke and his calm, rational take on life.

Bree and Andrea met playing volleyball in Indianapolis, and they got even closer as frequent roommates coaching for The Academy Volleyball Club. They have bonded over game nights and golf (Bree has been a huge help to Andrea’s golf game).

Although Matt and Ty were teammates on the elite Yellow soccer team in elementary school, their friendship truly blossomed in high school. Matt, Tom, and Ty roomed together for a period in college with Matt and Ty often forming a coalition to outvote Tom in townhouse matters.

Another friend from the volleyball community in Indianapolis, Matthew is the best party/game night host. Matthew and Andrea share a love of all things trivia and puzzle games (they talk every single day to compare their Connections results).

Ty has known Brian so long he doesn’t even remember meeting him (mostly because he was a baby). These days Brian and Ty keep in touch by playing Chel where Brian anchors the defense. Whenever Ty is back in Minnesota they make sure to meet up for golf and time on the lake.

Luke started as one of Andrea’s players at the very beginning of her coaching career, and they later became close friends through adult volleyball leagues and tournaments. Some of their best moments involve trying to find the perfect nachos by ordering them at every restaurant. However, Luke may never let Andrea live down the one time she yelled at him on the court.

Nate is Ty’s oldest (and only) brother. Ty appreciates how Nate throws himself fully into whatever he does and for making him an uncle. Although living in adjacent rooms often led to conflict growing up, now that they live across the country from one another they value the time they get to share.

Kreigha is one of Andrea’s oldest friends, going all the way back to PAL Volleyball League and Columbus Boomers Basketball. They love to tell people how they “never should have been friends'' since they always played on opposing sports teams (Rock Creek/ Southside, North/ East, DePauw/ Wittenberg), but their friendship has persisted through all of these years.

Ty met Matt through Andrea and respects him very much. In addition to being a great Euchre partner (I am not sure we have ever lost to Andrea and Emily) he taught us all the valuable lesson that Big Bird does, in fact, have arms.

Growing up with three brothers, it was a blessing when Andrea finally got a sister in Emily. They share the same favorite color (sparkles) and have had so many fun adventures, holidays, vacations, and memorable game nights over the years.
