Hello friends and family,

We are less than a month out and we are so excited to celebrate with you all! This email will have a few questions so we can update any numbers, and some recommendations for our friends visiting Traverse city or Michigan for the first time!

First up business

The Knot!

Dates and times have been officially updated on the Knot. Please make sure your RSVPs for the welcome drinks and brunch are accurate. If for example you said yes to the brunch but do not think you can make it before 12pm (which is totally fine and to be honest I'm not confident in my own ability to wake up in time) please update your choice!

More RSVPs-

A few more things have been added to the week's schedule. Although an official RSVP is not needed we would love to know if we can expect you to any of these!

• Tuesday 6/23-Sleeping Bear Dunes (about a 45 min drive from TC)

• Wednesday 6/24 3pm-5:30pm Brys Estate Winery (if you think you will need a ride please let us know so we can figure out carpooling!)

• Thursday 6/25 10 am-Beat the Bride 5k. Walk or run! Winner gets to marry Matt, and there may or may not be t-shirt prizes for 2nd and 3rd place.....Bagels on the beach with a quick plunge in the lake after to cool off!

• Friday 6/26 3pm- The bus leaves from the Best Western parking lot at 2:45pm! Please let us know if you are planning to be on it. If you are driving there is plenty of parking at the venue!

• Saturday 6/27 Brunch at the Grand Traverse Spa - on the lawn from 10am - 12 noon. If your plans changed from the RSVP please let us know.

Michigan Recs (Fun stuff!!!!)

We say Pop here!

Food recs-

• Bubbies bagels are so good! Line can get long though so get there early!

• Bay Bread Co.- great for breakfast and lunch and they donate to local schools!

• Chubby Unicorn- great sandwiches and salads

• The Little Fleet- An area with a bunch of yummy food trucks

• North Peak Brewing- has a mean cheese soup. Lots of great breweries up here (drink Founders and Bells beer while here for local faves)

• Detroit Pizza!!! Jets is my fave, but there are lots of options

• Cherries! We will be in TC a week before the cherry festival so they will be everywhere! Try Cherry republic for everything cherry flavored (salsa, candy, queso, wine!!!)

• Left foot Charley has ciders made with Michigan apples!

Things to do-

• Lakes! Did you know there are lots of lakes? Average water temps around this time of year are in the low 60s (great for your health!) and people love to swim, stand up paddle board, jet ski and kayak! Did you know we have 5% or the world's fresh water?!? THE WORLD!

• Nature- If you aren't joining us for Sleeping Bear dunes, I highly recommend going! It is an all around beautiful national park that is absolutely unique.

• Cycling! There are bike paths all along the water in Traverse city. Many hotels and Airbnbs have complimentary bikes or you could rent. A great way to see Downtown TC! Speaking of-

• Downtown Traverse City- lots of fun shops and things to see! Check out the BATA bus for free rides to and from. NOTE- there are not many Ubers in TC so plan accordingly! You may have to wait a while for your ride

• Winerys- Lots of beautiful winerys up here with beautiful views, and fun wines!

• Things aren't open super late here! So I definitely recommend getting some pop, snacks and local beer for the hotel. Or join us on the beach at the cottages where we are staying in the evening for a bonfire!

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out now, because I do not guarantee my brain will be working well enough to answer them in the future. Moms (Cheryl and Debbie) may also be able to help but no promises.

No salt, No sharks, No worries ;) 🍒

Love,

Andrea and Matt
