May of 2013:
Kendrick Lamar and Steve Aoki were set to hit SUNY Cortland for Spring Fling that weekend. So, naturally a group of lax girls began splatter painting their outfits in the quad. Abel came to the rescue and helped us design the best outfits for the concert. It has been love ever since!
November of 2013:
This couple remembers the Cortaca that made national news for more than the highlights shown on tv. This was the day Abel asked Andrea to be his girlfriend :)
June of 2016:
Abel and Andrea left SUNY Cortland to begin their lives in the real-world. Andrea taught in Syracuse for the year, while Abel worked in Vermont. A year of long-distance was tough but we did it!
August of 2017:
Abel and Andrea moved to Philadelphia, PA! While in Philly, Andrea got her first Master's degree, we adopted our two dogs, and explored non-stop. We made some amazing friends and are so grateful for all of our experiences. Philadelphia will always have a special place in our hearts!
June of 2020:
The pandemic helped us say goodbye to Philadelphia and move permanently to Vermont, where Andrea works as a School Counselor and Abel renovates buildings at MSI.
April of 2021:
We bought our first home! We are super excited to be owners of an old Vermont Farmhouse. We are working daily to renovate the home back to its full potential!
December of 2021:
We got engaged!!! On Christmas Eve Abel surprised Andrea, proposing while surrounded by loved ones.
September of 2023:
After ten years together, Abel and Andrea will tie the knot!
