How do I RSVP and when is the deadline?
Go to our "RSVP" page and enter one of the names on your invitation envelope to RSVP for each person in your group. RSVPs are due March 23, 2025 so we can get a final count to our vendors.
Are kids invited?
All invitees are listed on the invitation envelop and in your party on the RSVP page. While we love your little ones, we have chosen not to include young children unless they are in the wedding party to allow everyone to fully unwind for the evening. We invite parents to enjoy our wedding as a date night and appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time.
Are there any other wedding weekend events?
Yes! If you'll be in town on Saturday night, we invite you to join us for a Welcome Party at 7:30 pm at the Bay Pointe Boathouse Villa. BYOB. We hope to enjoy the fire pit if the weather permits.
Where can I stay in the area?
We have a room block at the same resort as our reception and a list of other options in the area. Check out the "Accommodations" page of this site for details.
When should I get to the ceremony?
Please arrive 15-30 minutes early (4:30-4:45) so you have time to get seated before the ceremony begins and we can get the party started on time.
What should I wear?
We are requesting semi-formal or cocktail attire. Some examples include dress pants, collared shirts, cocktail dresses, and fancy jumpsuits. Please note that the ceremony will be on the lawn and take this into account when picking your shoes. We invite you to dress within our color palette (blues and greens) but feel free to rock whatever makes you feel photo ready. Of course, please reserve shades of ivory, white, and cream for the bride.
Where do I park?
A map of the resort is below. Our reception is in the Woods Ballroom (dark pink building on right). Check-in for staying anywhere on site is at the Main Hotel (blue building on left).
Is the wedding indoor or outdoor?
The ceremony will be outdoors (weather permitting) and the reception will be primarily inside. Keep in mind that it will be April in Michigan and that spiky heels will sink into the lawn. There will be lawn games and an outdoor fire pit during the reception.
Can I take pictures of the wedding & post them on social media?
We intend to have an unplugged (phone/camera free) ceremony and request that our guests refrain from taking photos at that time so that our photographers can capture the moment with no disruptions. We promise to share the ceremony photos with you all when we get them back.
The reception is fair game though! In fact, we'd love it if you'd upload any photos you take to our shared album so we can see the wedding from all angles. To share your photos, go to the link below. Click "Browse Files", select the photos you want to add or take a new picture and click upload when you're done (it will say "uploaded" next to the photo names.)
Will there be an open bar?
Yes! Please remember to drink responsibly and get home safe.
Will there be designated smoking areas?
From our venue: "Michigan law does not allow smoking in areas where food and beverage are being served. That includes our lawn areas, firepits and lodging accomodations. Smoking is allowed in designated areas (parking lots) and on the balcony/patio of your lodging as long as the door is closed. A $250 per person smoke damage fee will be charged if smoke residue or smell is detected in your room."
Will there be any transportation provided (shuttles etc.)?
No, if you are staying at the venue, the cottages and hotel are within walking distance of the reception space. Please note that there is no public transportation in the area and we've been told that rideshares like Uber and Lyft are not always reliable so if you are not staying on site, please plan to have a safe ride to wherever you are staying.
