Are the two of you planning anything for Saturday and Sunday?
Right now, nothing for Saturday; that's just a travel-and-get-everyone-settled day.
Sunday we are planning on brunch after the ceremony and will plan an activity to do together as well.
I want to explore the outdoors, where can I do that?
Wyoming is home to two major National Parks. The Grand Teton NP and Yellowstone. Both have beautiful hiking options, sights to see, and tourist-friendly activities.
Any fun things to do in the town of Jackson, WY?
There are many small art galleries and museums downtown, including the National Museum of Wildlife Art (about an 8 minute drive from downtown). Jackson is also home of the famous "Antler Arches" that frame each corner of the downtown park.
I dont feel like hiking but I want to see the the view from the top!
At the Teton Village, located at the base of the ski slopes, you can ride on the Aerial Tram which takes you 4,000' up Rendezvous Mountain, drops you off, then right back down when you're ready. You can find this at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
I want a more relaxing activity, any suggestions?
Just a 30 minute drive south of Jackson sits Astoria Hot Springs and Park. Go enjoy a few hours soaking in the natural hot springs while admiring the beautiful view of Snake River.
I want to see wildlife!
Good news! Wyoming is home to many different animals including Bison, Bighorn Sheep, and Elk. Just a quick 10 minute drive outside of Jackson is the National Elk Refuge. Go see the Elk in their natural habitat, just make sure to give them their space and enjoy them from a distance.
Hiking: What is one of the most beautiful hikes in the Grant Tetons?
Cascade Canyon. This hike boasts 360 degree views of the Teton Mountains plus a waterfall bonus. There are a few different ways to hike this trail, the shortest is a 9 mile out and back starting with a boat ride (on Jenny Lake Boat shuttle) across Jenny Lake. The longest starts from the Jenny Lake Campground Parking and is 14.5 miles out and back. The trail ends at a fork in a valley with multiple mountain peaks all around you. You have the option of going right on the North Fork trail and turning the out and back into a loop but that is a 22.5 mile hike and I would suggest backpacking equipment. This is Grizzly Bear territory so please hike responsibility, do not go if you're a novice hiker, bring bear spray, and leave no trace.
Hiking: What is the shortest hike I can do and still see something beautiful?
Schwabachers Landing Trail is only 0.5 miles in length with 6 feet of elevation gain. The end of the trail has a beautiful view of the Teton Mountain Range over Snake River.
