Andrew & Madi met at Joe's Bar in Chico, CA in February 2018.

Their first "unofficial" date was a boat ride on the Sacramento River followed by a picnic on the sandbar.

Their first "official" date was attending the lovely Rafalski Wedding on Cinco De Mayo 2018

From then on, it has been nothing but adventures. Everything from sky diving, snorkeling in Hawaii, surf lessons in Indonesia, road trips to Fort Bragg, hunting excursions in Eastern Oregon, fly fishing in Mill Creek and weekly trips to Farmer's Brewery in Princeton, CA.

In September of 2021 Andrew & Madison took another road trip to Eastern Oregon, in search of Elk.

It had been 5 days of hiking, not finding any elk

and 5 nights of not showering, only eating Mountain House meals and drinking peanut butter whiskey.

Day 6 is when Andrew decided that Madi deserved a break.

On September 20th (Day 6/10 off the grid)

He promised to drive her to a spot called the lookout tower (so she could get cell-phone service) and then to town (so she could go to her favorite coffee shop)

Standing at the top of the lookout tower, overlooking the beautiful Strawberry Wilderness (and the elk that were hiding), Andrew got down on one knee and asked Madi "to be his hunting partner forever?"

AND, he did this while secretly filming with Madi's camera.

Obviously, she said yes.

It has been said that 2022 will have 2.5 million weddings, the most since 1984 (thanks Covid). For that reason, Andrew and Madi didn't think it would be possible to get married in 2022, but thanks to Andrew's gracious Aunt Dee and Uncle Mike, they made it possible.

The wedding venue is at their private home nestled in quiet Capay, CA right next to the Sacramento River. Andrew's cousin Natalie (Mike and Dee's daughter) and her husband Jeremy were the first couple to be wed there in June of 2021. While attending their wedding, Andrew and Madi happened to catch the garter and bouquet ;)

Andrew and Madi are beyond excited to get married along the river, just like their first "unofficial" date and cannot wait to celebrate with their closest friends and family!
