Elevation?
Quito is located on the equator and is the second highest capital in the world at an elevation of 9,300 ft.
The wedding and hotel, which are located in Puembo, a suburb of Quito, sits at an elevation of 7,800 ft.
It is recommended that you arrive a few days early to adjust to elevation.
Weather?
Weather in July and August is typically sunny and in the low/mid 70s during the day, and 50s at night. We recommend bringing a light jacket for the evenings.
Currency?
The currency in Ecuador is the US dollar. While credit cards are widely accepted, it is always good to bring small denomination bills for shopping, taxis, and tipping.
Please note most restaurants and shops won't accept bills that are marked or damaged in any way.
Time Zone?
Quito follows central standard time (same as Chicago).
Electrical Outlets?
Electrical outlets in Ecuador are the same as the US so no adaptors are needed.
Can I bring a plus one?
If your invitation includes a plus one, they will be listed on your RSPV. We wish we could invite everyone!
Are kids invited?
We love your littles ones, however, for the ease of everyone there, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception an adults only event, with the exception of our flower girls and ring bearer. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!
