Angela and Jim’s Love Story begins during a Global Pandemic. As you all remember the world completely shut down. Toilet paper was scarce, you had to make an appointment to stand in line at the grocery store, and people were confined to their homes all day long. Thus Angela and Jim met in the modern way: by swiping on hinge! Their first date was a bit unconventional—they couldnt make reservations or meet for drinks, so they met to walk Angela’s puppy Finn in the city.

Jim showed up like a knight in shining armor yielding a pizza and a roll of toilet paper, joking that toilet paper was more valuable than flowers. Angela laughed at his corny joke. The date was going well, Jim was handsome and the conversation flowed, Jim thought Angela was beautiful. Finn had a history of swallowing rocks (and an outstanding ER bill) so when Angela noticed Finn with a rock in his mouth she panicked. She reached in Finn’s mouth, plucked out the rock, and chucked it - hard. Plunk! She hit a parked car or truck. Angela immediately turned bright red from embarrassment, and that was the moment Jim decided to surprise her and kiss her.

A few of Angela and Jim's favorite memories from their time together: Traveling to places such as the mountains and the shore with friends, Maine, Mexico, Florida, Canada, and Ireland. They also enjoy spending time with each others families, hanging out with each others friends, and going on hikes with Finn.

Our Story has now reached the proposal. Jim took both of Angela’s parents out to dinner to ask for Angela’s hand in marriage. After receiving their blessing he got straight to work. He called Gabriella and told her when to come home from school. He sent an entire itinerary, with pictures, to the family via email. He booked a photographer, made sure his family was available, and reserved a happy hour for family and friends at The Ridley House.

February 12th, 2022 was a beautiful 60 degree day. To Jim’s surprise, Angela woke up that morning wanting to get out and walk Finn. She fell right into the trap without realizing it. He took her to the Belmont Plateau where the photographer was waiting. He shoved her into the location he picked out -yes there was a deliberate shove. Jim got down on one knee. He said “ When we first met you threw a rock and hit a truck. Please dont ever throw this rock.” He continued on with his speech and asked her to marry him. Angela, through complete and utter shock, managed to say “Of course!”
