Drive 30 minutes west of the hotel for a scenic overlook, trails, and the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum.

25 minutes from the hotel, Keene is a cute town to visit any time of year, but especially in the fall. This is where the original Jumanji was filmed, and you can still see the Parrish Shoe mural on the corner of West and Main St. At the end of every October, Keene hosts a pumpkin festival that's worth checking out if you're making a longer trip out of it, or if you come back to visit!
