Matt moved to Gulfport, Mississippi in June 2019 from Louisiana. Not even 4 months later he was asked if he wanted to move 5 hours North to Oxford, Mississippi. He knew only one other coworker and was given a name of another employee that could give him good references for the best watering holes in Oxford (Obviously Me).

After some persuading, Matt convinced me to meet him at the St. Patrick’s day pub crawl in Oxford. This is the reason St. Patrick’s day is special to us even though it wasn’t technically our first date.

Our actual first date was to no surprise at Buffalo Wild Wings. We went the last night before they shut down for COVID and then Matt drove me around looking for toilet paper; proving chivalry is not dead even during a pandemic! Matt says our first date is when I wanted to show him Sardis Lake and he ended up driving me around the entire lake which took 4 hours!

We have been inseparable ever since (and pretty much inseparable from BWW too).
