If I am traveling to Detroit from out of state, when should I arrive?
For those who are joining our celebration from out of state, we encourage you to choose the travel date that works best for your schedule. It is possible to fly in the morning of the wedding on July 3 and make it to the hotel by check-in time if flights land by 12pm ET. For those who are able, we recommend arriving the day before (Wednesday, July 2), to ensure any potential travel delays do not impact your trip, and also to allow some extra time to enjoy the beauty of the Motor City!
What time should I arrive to the venue?
On the wedding day, the venue will be prepared for guests to arrive any time after 4:30pm, with the ceremony starting promptly at 5pm. We ask guests who plan to attend the ceremony to be on-site no later than 4:45pm to ensure everyone can be seated in time. Please note the shuttle bus from the Cambria Hotel can only accommodate 10 passengers at a time, so please get in line early if you plan to be there for the ceremony.
What should I wear?
Our suggested attire is summer formal. July in Michigan can be unpredictable with heat and humidity. The ceremony will be held outdoors (weather permitting), so lightweight fabrics are encouraged. The reception will be held indoors and the venue does have air conditioning, so you may want to also bring a sweater or jacket.
Can I bring my children?
We know that families with children have unique considerations when it comes to attending events. While some guests have shared with us that they are looking forward to a date night away from the kids, we know others will want to bring little ones along. The choice is yours! If you will be bringing any children, please be sure to note this on your RSVP and list the name(s) and age(s) of each child. Please also note that while we will do our best to provide kid-friendly food options, there will not be a specific kids' meal provided.
