Cambria Hotel Detroit-Shelby Township
Located two miles from the wedding venue, the Cambria Hotel is centrally located so guests can explore attractions within the area and throughout Metro Detroit. Downtown Detroit is approximately a 45-minute drive from the hotel, but there are many shops, restaurants and attractions nearby. On-site amenities at the hotel include an indoor pool, a bar/lounge/restaurant, a 24-hour fitness center and more.
A select number of king and double queen rooms are available at a discounted room rate of $139 and $149 per night. To book with our group, please call the hotel at (586) 473-0200 and mention the Smith Hernandez Wedding account. The discounted rate does not apply for online reservations.
Cambria Hotel Shuttle
There is plenty of on-site parking available at Packard Proving Grounds, but to help our guests celebrate responsibly, a complimentary shuttle van will be available to transport guests to and from the hotel and the wedding venue. The shuttle will operate exclusively for our wedding guests on July 3 starting at 4pm and ending at midnight.
The shuttle can accommodate 10 passengers per trip, and the ride to the venue is about a 5 minute drive from the hotel. We ask that guests who plan to attend the ceremony take an earlier shuttle to ensure everyone can arrive in time to be seated.
Overnight parking is permitted at the Packard Proving Grounds, so if you are running late you can drive to the venue and take the shuttle back to the hotel following the celebrations.

For guests traveling from out of state, DTW is the closest airport to the wedding venue and hotel. As one of the world’s leading air transportation hubs, DTW offers service from 17 scheduled passenger airlines and is Michigan’s largest airport. DTW is among the world’s most efficient, customer friendly and operationally capable airports in North America.
Transportation options between the airport and hotel include airport on-site rental cars, Uber/Lyft, taxis, luxury sedans and public transportation busses.
