Our Wedding

Our story begins in the small town of Winona, MN. The legendary tavern was the hot spot for college kids especially those who attended St. Mary’s University. It so happened that both Lenny and I were at the “Tav” the first weekend of the school year in 2016. As luck would have it, my friend Danielle insisted I talk with this guy. So, we began talking. The conversation was so easy… talking about our hometowns, friends and of course hockey. Lenny left the Legendary Tavern that night thanking me for a lovely conversation but failed to ask for my phone number. A short 10 hours later, a notification on Facebook pops up with a message from Lenny apologizing for not asking for my phone number (and making sure he did not make a fool of himself the previous night!) The following weeks, I would see Lenny everywhere on campus; I would be walking home from classes and here comes Lenny on his bike; he would be on the opposing team for intramural hockey; or “studying” with our mutual friends. After a little (a lot) persistence from Lenny’s end and a couple of turned down dates later, I finally agreed to go on a date with him over Christmas break at Quixotic coffee in St. Paul. From there, we went out on a couple more dates, and then we were meeting each other’s families. All of a sudden, three little words popped out, “I love you” and finally “Will you marry me”. I can’t believe I took a chance on a hockey goalie from a rival high school, and WOW, I am so glad I did because the rest is history and WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!!!
