We first met as next door neighbors on the first floor of an apartment on Grove Avenue in 2019, only sharing a passing wave or hello until January 6th of 2020, when Carters Army National Guard unit was mobilized to DC for nearly a month and a half! I (Angie) woke up to a vague post-it note taped to my back door explaining that Carter had to leave town for a while and that he hoped I could watch his large peace lily he had just bought while he was gone. That is one way to get your number into my phone! 😃 The rest is history. Today, we reflect on that serendipitous day when a simple gesture paved the way for our forever!

Carter proposed on Easter morning of April 2023 and just 12 days later we were getting married at the historic Hanover courthouse, just across the street from the Tavern. A year and a half later we are so excited to finally celebrate our marriage with all of our loved ones! We will not be having a traditional ceremony or exchange of vows as we have already done this, but we can't wait to acknowledge and spend time with everyone who joins us on this day!
