Schedule

We are delighted to invite you to our wedding ceremony, which will occur on Saturday at 1:45 PM and conclude around 3:45 PM. Following the ceremony, the celebration will continue into the night with a joyous reception. As a bonus, the following Monday is a federal holiday, so we hope you can relax and enjoy the festivities!

Airport Transportation

For your convenience, Kelowna International Airport (YLW) is the closest and most accessible airport for reaching Immaculate Conception Church and the city of Kelowna. Although you may fly into Vancouver, it's about a five-hour drive to the venue.

Venue Addresses

We will hold both the ceremony and reception at the following location: Immaculate Conception Church 839 Sutherland Ave, Kelowna, BC V1Y 5X4

Parking

Ample parking is available behind the church, and street parking is also an option.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors.

Hotel Accomodations

While we haven't reserved blocks of rooms, we are happy to assist with recommendations if needed.

Shuttle Service

Although we will not provide a shuttle service, we're more than happy to help coordinate transportation if needed. Feel free to reach out!

What is the dress code for your wedding?

We kindly ask that you dress in a way that honours the sacredness of the occasion:

Men: A dark suit in shades of gray or navy is ideal. A white or light blue shirt and black dress shoes are preferred, though subtle alternatives are acceptable.

Women: Please wear an elegant afternoon or cocktail dress or a long, dressy skirt and top. In keeping with church tradition, women are asked to cover their heads with a hat, veil, or scarf during the ceremony (1 Corinthians 11:2-16). We also ask that dresses cover shoulders and that hemlines fall below the knee, even when seated.

Cultural attire that reflects these guidelines is most welcome.

We hope this dress code helps everyone feel comfortable and respectful in this sacred space. If you'd like to change into something more casual for the reception, you're welcome to do so!

Receiving the Eucharist

For those wishing to receive the Eucharist, we kindly remind you that only baptized Catholics who have received their First Communion, are practicing their faith, and are in a state of grace may receive Him. If you do not plan to receive Him, we invite you to remain seated and offer your prayers for the couple during this moment.

Weather

Kelowna in September is typically warm, with average highs around 21°C. We recommend checking the forecast before your travels to ensure you're prepared for any variations.

Plus Ones

Due to space and planning, we kindly ask that only the guests listed on the invitation attend. If a plus-one is not specified, we are unable to accommodate additional guests. Thank you for understanding.

Children

Children are a joyful part of our celebration, and we are thrilled to welcome them!

Dietary Restrictions

If you have any dietary needs, please inform us by emailing chanidusg@gmail.com.
