Anita and Jussell met on a snowy morning for breakfast.
Anita talked the whole time as Jussell listened when she finally asked her, "What about you?"
Jussell thought, "Shes finally asking me about myself!"
At the end of the date, Anita was rushing to leave and Jussell was confused-Anita was cramping and desperately wanted to go home and lay in bed.
As they said their goodbyes, Jussell gave Anita her first "flower".
She wasnt sure that she would see her again but almost immediately afterwards, Anita asked Jussell to come over to watch a movie-they never separated since.
The two went on several dates back to back: the Nature and Science Museum, Botanical Gardens, Estes Park, trips to Voodoo Donuts & hikes in the mountains. Before they knew it, their first Valentines Day came up; and the couple went on a date where they broke items with bats and hammers for 60 minutes.
Anita knew Jussell loved her, and she loved Jussell, and getting married had already been talked about in passing.
And when the two went to Michigan for a vacation/trip to Anita's hometown, she knew that this was the moment.
Although she didnt know WHEN the moment would happen, she waited patiently everyday...
...until she accidently read a message on Jussells phone giving away the proposal day! Jussell caught her in the act and the two laughed and then would pretend it hadn't happened.
Anita's friends suggested a bonfire on one of her favorite beaches on their last night in town.
While Jussell and Anita got ready to go out that night, the two would catch each other's glances and start giggling. It was a secret that it wasnt a secret anymore.
When they arrived at the beach, they found out that it was being occupied to film a commercial.
Jussell froze; she could hardly propose in front of strangers or friends but NOW she had to propose with the possibility of it being captured and added into a commercial for the whole world to see!
Jussells palms were sweaty, knees weak, arms were heavy. Anita knew that Jussell might not be able to follow through, her shyness was overpowering.
Anita and Jussell walked down the pier toward the lighthouse as her friends stole photos from behind the two of them secretly.
Anita whispered that if she couldn't propose here, it would be okay and she would understand, but Jussell persisted. She waited for the lighthouse to be less crowded and clear when she pulled out a tiny matchbox that Anita had given to her at the beginning of their relationship.
Anita began to cry, why would Jussell hold onto such a silly, meaningless, small thing?
Jussell confessed their love for Anita and asked her to marry her; Anita said yes and as the two embraced and kissed, cheering and clapping from the strangers on beach grew louder.
As the two stood there, wiping their tears of happiness, the commercial drone flew by and hovered above them. Anita held out her left hand with her engagement ring sitting on her finger and whooped out loud.
Anita and Jussell flew back home and immediately started planning their wedding and they hope their friends and family enjoy it and are able to celebrate with them in love.
