Anita&nbsp;and&nbsp;Jussell&nbsp;met&nbsp;on&nbsp;a&nbsp;snowy&nbsp;morning&nbsp;for&nbsp;breakfast.&nbsp; Anita&nbsp;talked&nbsp;the&nbsp;whole&nbsp;time&nbsp;as&nbsp;Jussell&nbsp;listened&nbsp;when&nbsp;she&nbsp;finally&nbsp;asked&nbsp;her,&nbsp;"What&nbsp;about&nbsp;you?" Jussell&nbsp;thought,&nbsp;"Shes&nbsp;finally&nbsp;asking&nbsp;me&nbsp;about&nbsp;myself!" At&nbsp;the&nbsp;end&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;date,&nbsp;Anita&nbsp;was&nbsp;rushing&nbsp;to&nbsp;leave&nbsp;and&nbsp;Jussell&nbsp;was&nbsp;confused-Anita&nbsp;was&nbsp;cramping&nbsp;and&nbsp;desperately&nbsp;wanted&nbsp;to&nbsp;go&nbsp;home&nbsp;and&nbsp;lay&nbsp;in&nbsp;bed. As&nbsp;they&nbsp;said&nbsp;their&nbsp;goodbyes,&nbsp;Jussell&nbsp;gave&nbsp;Anita&nbsp;her&nbsp;first&nbsp;"flower". She&nbsp;wasnt&nbsp;sure&nbsp;that&nbsp;she&nbsp;would&nbsp;see&nbsp;her&nbsp;again&nbsp;but&nbsp;almost&nbsp;immediately&nbsp;afterwards,&nbsp;Anita&nbsp;asked&nbsp;Jussell&nbsp;to&nbsp;come&nbsp;over&nbsp;to&nbsp;watch&nbsp;a&nbsp;movie-they&nbsp;never&nbsp;separated&nbsp;since. The&nbsp;two&nbsp;went&nbsp;on&nbsp;several&nbsp;dates&nbsp;back&nbsp;to&nbsp;back:&nbsp;the&nbsp;Nature&nbsp;and&nbsp;Science&nbsp;Museum,&nbsp;Botanical&nbsp;Gardens,&nbsp;Estes&nbsp;Park,&nbsp;trips&nbsp;to&nbsp;Voodoo&nbsp;Donuts&nbsp;&&nbsp;hikes&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;mountains.&nbsp;Before&nbsp;they&nbsp;knew&nbsp;it,&nbsp;their&nbsp;first&nbsp;Valentines&nbsp;Day&nbsp;came&nbsp;up;&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;couple&nbsp;went&nbsp;on&nbsp;a&nbsp;date&nbsp;where&nbsp;they&nbsp;broke&nbsp;items&nbsp;with&nbsp;bats&nbsp;and&nbsp;hammers&nbsp;for&nbsp;60&nbsp;minutes.&nbsp; Anita&nbsp;knew&nbsp;Jussell&nbsp;loved&nbsp;her,&nbsp;and&nbsp;she&nbsp;loved&nbsp;Jussell,&nbsp;and&nbsp;getting&nbsp;married&nbsp;had&nbsp;already&nbsp;been&nbsp;talked&nbsp;about&nbsp;in&nbsp;passing.&nbsp; And&nbsp;when&nbsp;the&nbsp;two&nbsp;went&nbsp;to&nbsp;Michigan&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;vacation/trip&nbsp;to&nbsp;Anita's&nbsp;hometown,&nbsp;she&nbsp;knew&nbsp;that&nbsp;this&nbsp;was&nbsp;the&nbsp;moment. Although&nbsp;she&nbsp;didnt&nbsp;know&nbsp;WHEN&nbsp;the&nbsp;moment&nbsp;would&nbsp;happen,&nbsp;she&nbsp;waited&nbsp;patiently&nbsp;everyday... ...until&nbsp;she&nbsp;accidently&nbsp;read&nbsp;a&nbsp;message&nbsp;on&nbsp;Jussells&nbsp;phone&nbsp;giving&nbsp;away&nbsp;the&nbsp;proposal&nbsp;day!&nbsp;Jussell&nbsp;caught&nbsp;her&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;act&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;two&nbsp;laughed&nbsp;and&nbsp;then&nbsp;would&nbsp;pretend&nbsp;it&nbsp;hadn't&nbsp;happened. Anita's&nbsp;friends&nbsp;suggested&nbsp;a&nbsp;bonfire&nbsp;on&nbsp;one&nbsp;of&nbsp;her&nbsp;favorite&nbsp;beaches&nbsp;on&nbsp;their&nbsp;last&nbsp;night&nbsp;in&nbsp;town.&nbsp; While&nbsp;Jussell&nbsp;and&nbsp;Anita&nbsp;got&nbsp;ready&nbsp;to&nbsp;go&nbsp;out&nbsp;that&nbsp;night,&nbsp;the&nbsp;two&nbsp;would&nbsp;catch&nbsp;each&nbsp;other's&nbsp;glances&nbsp;and&nbsp;start&nbsp;giggling.&nbsp;It&nbsp;was&nbsp;a&nbsp;secret&nbsp;that&nbsp;it&nbsp;wasnt&nbsp;a&nbsp;secret&nbsp;anymore. When&nbsp;they&nbsp;arrived&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;beach,&nbsp;they&nbsp;found&nbsp;out&nbsp;that&nbsp;it&nbsp;was&nbsp;being&nbsp;occupied&nbsp;to&nbsp;film&nbsp;a&nbsp;commercial.&nbsp; Jussell&nbsp;froze;&nbsp;she&nbsp;could&nbsp;hardly&nbsp;propose&nbsp;in&nbsp;front&nbsp;of&nbsp;strangers&nbsp;or&nbsp;friends&nbsp;but&nbsp;NOW&nbsp;she&nbsp;had&nbsp;to&nbsp;propose&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;possibility&nbsp;of&nbsp;it&nbsp;being&nbsp;captured&nbsp;and&nbsp;added&nbsp;into&nbsp;a&nbsp;commercial&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;whole&nbsp;world&nbsp;to&nbsp;see! Jussells&nbsp;palms&nbsp;were&nbsp;sweaty,&nbsp;knees&nbsp;weak,&nbsp;arms&nbsp;were&nbsp;heavy.&nbsp;Anita&nbsp;knew&nbsp;that&nbsp;Jussell&nbsp;might&nbsp;not&nbsp;be&nbsp;able&nbsp;to&nbsp;follow&nbsp;through,&nbsp;her&nbsp;shyness&nbsp;was&nbsp;overpowering. Anita&nbsp;and&nbsp;Jussell&nbsp;walked&nbsp;down&nbsp;the&nbsp;pier&nbsp;toward&nbsp;the&nbsp;lighthouse&nbsp;as&nbsp;her&nbsp;friends&nbsp;stole&nbsp;photos&nbsp;from&nbsp;behind&nbsp;the&nbsp;two&nbsp;of&nbsp;them&nbsp;secretly.&nbsp; Anita&nbsp;whispered&nbsp;that&nbsp;if&nbsp;she&nbsp;couldn't&nbsp;propose&nbsp;here,&nbsp;it&nbsp;would&nbsp;be&nbsp;okay&nbsp;and&nbsp;she&nbsp;would&nbsp;understand,&nbsp;but&nbsp;Jussell&nbsp;persisted.&nbsp;She&nbsp;waited&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;lighthouse&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;less&nbsp;crowded&nbsp;and&nbsp;clear&nbsp;when&nbsp;she&nbsp;pulled&nbsp;out&nbsp;a&nbsp;tiny&nbsp;matchbox&nbsp;that&nbsp;Anita&nbsp;had&nbsp;given&nbsp;to&nbsp;her&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;beginning&nbsp;of&nbsp;their&nbsp;relationship. Anita&nbsp;began&nbsp;to&nbsp;cry,&nbsp;why&nbsp;would&nbsp;Jussell&nbsp;hold&nbsp;onto&nbsp;such&nbsp;a&nbsp;silly,&nbsp;meaningless,&nbsp;small&nbsp;thing? Jussell&nbsp;confessed&nbsp;their&nbsp;love&nbsp;for&nbsp;Anita&nbsp;and&nbsp;asked&nbsp;her&nbsp;to&nbsp;marry&nbsp;her;&nbsp;Anita&nbsp;said&nbsp;yes&nbsp;and&nbsp;as&nbsp;the&nbsp;two&nbsp;embraced&nbsp;and&nbsp;kissed,&nbsp;cheering&nbsp;and&nbsp;clapping&nbsp;from&nbsp;the&nbsp;strangers&nbsp;on&nbsp;beach&nbsp;grew&nbsp;louder.&nbsp; As&nbsp;the&nbsp;two&nbsp;stood&nbsp;there,&nbsp;wiping&nbsp;their&nbsp;tears&nbsp;of&nbsp;happiness,&nbsp;the&nbsp;commercial&nbsp;drone&nbsp;flew&nbsp;by&nbsp;and&nbsp;hovered&nbsp;above&nbsp;them.&nbsp;Anita&nbsp;held&nbsp;out&nbsp;her&nbsp;left&nbsp;hand&nbsp;with&nbsp;her&nbsp;engagement&nbsp;ring&nbsp;sitting&nbsp;on&nbsp;her&nbsp;finger&nbsp;and&nbsp;whooped&nbsp;out&nbsp;loud. Anita&nbsp;and&nbsp;Jussell&nbsp;flew&nbsp;back&nbsp;home&nbsp;and&nbsp;immediately&nbsp;started&nbsp;planning&nbsp;their&nbsp;wedding&nbsp;and&nbsp;they&nbsp;hope&nbsp;their&nbsp;friends&nbsp;and&nbsp;family&nbsp;enjoy&nbsp;it&nbsp;and&nbsp;are&nbsp;able&nbsp;to&nbsp;celebrate&nbsp;with&nbsp;them&nbsp;in&nbsp;love.

Helena and Anita met while working at a video store together and have been friends for almost 10 years! Anita invited Helena out to a dinner with friends and she made Helena laugh so hard she threw up.

Meg and Anita met through Helena and became fast friends and have know each other for at least 8 years. Meg and Anita bonded over anime, crippling ADHD and the devil's lettuce.

David and Jussell met at art school in 2010. They bonded over wanting to jump off the school building during the hardest days of college, but 15 years later they're still here! 

David Gargollo

Arra and Jussell have been best friends since middle school and have known each other since 5th grade. They had mutual dislike for each other until high school where it felt like it was the two of them against the world.
