I had been single for quite some time before I was introduced to Josh, and I wasn't actively pursuing looking for a relationship. I had met up with a few friends at a restaurant for trivia night and before I even sat down my friends were already telling me about Josh and how they thought he would be a good fit for me. They showed me pictures, talked him up, and asked if I would be interested. I had definitely not had a good experience with dating, so I was a little hesitant, but I agreed to meet him because everything they were telling me about him sounded PERFECT. My first thought was "this is too good to be true". My friend Amber set up a little party at her house for us to be introduced and I was a nervous wreck when they told me he was on the way. I was pacing around the house freaking out, because to be honest I was never good at the dating thing and all my friends were giving me pep talks. When he arrived I was chugging Malibu straight from the bottle. (What a great first impression. lol!) I remember I was so nervous I couldn't even look him in the eyes. My first thought seeing him was HE WAS SO TALL AND HANDSOME. I wasn't really interacting with him, so we set up beer pong and he asked me to be his partner. He did most of the heavy lifting with conversation, because I didn't know what to say, but we got on the topic of dogs and it was smooth sailing from there. The night was coming to an end for me, so I made my rounds of goodbyes and headed to my car, completely forgot to say goodbye to Josh. ( I chalk this up to me still being nervous.) I was sitting in my car finding a good song to listen to on the drive home when Amber texted me not to leave because Josh was going to come outside. He came out, said it was nice meeting me, and asked for my number and the rest was history. I remember the first thing I told my mom the next morning was " I'm gonna marry him one day. He is the one."

I know it is pretty cliche to say, but from the first time I met him I just KNEW I was going to marry him. He truly is perfect and every day with him feels like the fist time we met. October 11th can't come soon enough!

The story Anjelica wont tell is the one where she met me a year or so before we actually met. She was at Suwanee beer fest and we briefly met when our friend group had met up for a few minutes. I remember her, she was in a blue shirt and her hair was in spacebuns... she does not remember me. So a year later there I was flying home from being in Vegas with a few friends for about a week. Once I landed and got down to the rideshare area of the Atlanta Airport I receive a text. “I have someone for you to date”. Seems aggressive but hey I'm game. A picture was sent to me of her and it was this beautiful girl with brown hair all decked out in her bridesmaids dress from the Lambert wedding. Hey I'm even more game. I was told that there was a party being set up in a few days so that we could meet and talk and see how it worked. So the day came and I was sitting in my apartment waiting for the group to get finished with another party and get back to the house. I was just waiting on a text to tell me that I could drive over and meet her. This text came late. Apparently the party was set up for Anjelica and I but they forgot 50% of the most important part. Me. So finally they remembered me and I drove over to the house nervous the whole way. Once I got in the house everyone surrounded me like I was the Beatles, people dogs and shots alike but over the crowd I could see this beautiful girl from the pictures absolutely housing Malibu straight from the bottle. I had two thoughts in my mind at that time. 1. she's perfect and 2. who the hell can drink malibu like that? So she avoided me for the first little bit until we set up beer pong. I called her over to be my partner and started talking to her. She didn't look me in the eyes once. But we got talking about our dogs and how important they were to us and then everything started flowing very naturally. Later on in the party the girls went outside and the guys were in the living room talking about music and though Anjelica still wont admit it the rumor is she was outside getting hyped up by the girls because she wanted to come inside and tell me that she liked me. Spoiler alert she did not. She then left and was sitting in her car trying to pick a song to listen to on the 2 minute drive home and Amber screamed at me “GET OUT THERE AND GET HER NUMBER!” so fearing for my life I jogged out and told her what a good time I had and asked if I could get her number. She gave it to me gave me a hug and drove off blasting her music and here we are today.
