Q + A

What should I wear?

Be comfortable! The ceremony is going to be in a field and there are dirt and gravel walking paths to get to the reception, so keep that in mind when choosing your footwear. The weather will likely be nice and sunny and mild in early June, but rain is also not out of the question. It would be wise to pack a rain jacket.

Can I bring my kids?

We would like this weekend to be kid limited and if there is an option to get a baby sitter or enlist the grandparents, we would encourage you to do so. That being said, we know that is not always an option, we love your kids, and we don't want childcare to be a barrier to you attending our wedding.

Is camping an option?

Short answer: yes, there is limited camping. Please indicate on your RSVP if you are interested in camping and we will be in touch. The sooner we know the better. Campers can expect access to bathrooms and showers. You might notice on the YCR website that there are cabins. These are reserved for the folks in our wedding party.

What meals are provided?

Light dinner Friday, Saturday dinner, and a light breakfast on Sunday. If you are staying on site for the weekend, please plan on bringing food for your other meals. Note that the venue is "out there" and the nearest grocery store is 20 minutes away. Bringing a cooler would be wise.

What about gifts?

Having all our friends and family together in one place is a gift in and of itself. We are pretty set on material possessions and our house is small, so we would like to limit taking on more stuff. If you feel inclined to give a gift, we have a couple items on our registry, in addition to a honeymoon fund and a home improvement fund. But please don't feel obligated to contribute. Again, your effort in being present for our wedding weekend is the true gift.

Can I bring my dog?

Sorry, no dogs allowed.
