While Anna was born in New Orleans, Jeremy is originally from California and moved to Louisiana in 2014. After living in Baton Rouge for seven years, Anna moved back to New Orleans in 2020. They met on June 25, 2021, at Sidecar Patio & Oyster Bar while grabbing drinks with a mutual friend (shout-out to Alec Miller!) and have been inseparable ever since.

After five months of friendship, they solidified their relationship in November of 2021. Since then, the love they have for each other (and each other's families) has continued to grow. For Anna's March 2023 birthday, Anna's mom gave her the wedding ring of her great-grandmother and namesake (Anna Maria Vita). On August 3, 2023, Jeremy got down on one knee at HIS birthday dinner and asked Anna to be his wife. With tears in her eyes, she said "YES!" The engagement ring's center stone is the diamond from Momo Vita's ring.

Anna always knew she would be married at Academy of the Sacred Heart Chapel (her and her mother's alma mater and where her parents married in 1989). The Chapel was under renovation when the couple decided to marry, which left only two Saturdays in 2024 to pick from: April 27 (too soon) or September 28 (bingo!). After touring many venues, Anna and Jeremy chose NOPSI Hotel New Orleans for its unique architecture, historical significance, and New Orleans charm.
