Take a stroll down the river walk and explore all of the cute shops that Estes Park has to offer! You will find a lot of candy shops, souvenir shops, jewelry stores, and more! If you want a unique souvenir, pop into one of the old west themed photo studios and live out your saloon girl/cowboy fantasy. If you keep walking past the end of the main strip, look for Patterson Glassworks Studio. It’s in a little yellow house, and they usually have a live demonstration going on, which is fascinating. Also check out Laura’s Fine Candies, it’s a giant red awning in the middle of downtown so it is easy to find. They have an amazing selection of candies handmade right in the shop. The almond toffee bark is the best!
There is still a reservation schedule in place to enter RMNP. If you would like to go into the park during you stay, please look online and make a reservation ahead of time! Our favorite spots are off the Bear Lake trailhead. There are a lot of easier hikes to beautiful locations. If you want to peak a mountain, Deer Mountain is an easier first option with scenic views of all of the bigger peaks in the park.
This is a great spot with no reservations to worry about! It is an easily accessible lake with a 1.5 mile loop around it. There is pretty much always wildlife to spot in the area, including moose sometimes! The views of Long’s Peak and Estes Cone are absolutely stunning. It is a great option if you want a taste of the outdoors, but an easy and relaxing walk.
Go grab some drinks and maybe get treated to some live music! They also serve dinner and great appetizers. The owners are amazing people and we love supporting this place.
A super fun and quick activity for people of all ages. It’s a gravity powered “coaster” with some scenic views and thrills.
This park offers a cool high ropes course experience and is right in town! Perfect if you have older kids or just want to have a fun adventure without going into the park. They also have axe throwing!
If you want to get a taste of being in Rocky Mountain National Park without using your own two feet, this is a great option. They offer hour long or day long excursions. This is the brides pick for a horseback opportunity in Estes!
Ian and Anna have absolutely loved escape rooms since they started dating. Time Emporium is a cool experience with two themed escape rooms in downtown Estes. Test your wits and work through puzzles to get out of the room before your time runs out! This is a super fun team building activity and would be a great option in case of a gloomy day.
This is a great place if you have younger kids as well! They offer an awesome putt putt golf course right next to the river. They also have go karts and other fun activities to offer as well.
This is an amazing brewery just outside of downtown Estes Park. It is a great place to relax and unwind and enjoy a local craft beer! They have an outdoor area and games inside if you want to hang out for a while and play with friends.
Another option for a local brewery just outside of Downtown Estes! They have a beautiful patio area and lots of craft brews to try!
