What time should I arrive at the venue?
The ceremony starts at 1 pm, but feel free to arrive 10-20 minutes early to get seated and settled.
What is the dress code?
Dressy/smart casual. It will also be an outdoor daytime wedding, so comfortable shoes are highly recommended!
Women and girls: dress, skirt, or dress pants/capris and blouse. Men and boys: slacks, khakis, chinos, or khaki shorts, and a button down shirt or polo. Tie is optional.
(No t-shirts or jeans please!)
Are there any health and safety measures being taken against COVID?
Washington state no longer requires masks, so we won't require guests to wear them. Though we will have masks available for any who would like to use them, as well as hand sanitizer.
How do I get to the venue?
Venue address is 38 W Ballard Rd, Colbert, WA 99005
Coming from Spokane:
- Go North on Division Street
- When it forks at "the Y", continue straight on the left fork
- Continue North for 3 mi (~5 km) and merge with Hwy 395
- Continue North for ~1 mi (~1.6 km) and take the Hatch Road exit
- From the exit, turn left onto Hatch Rd, follow it under the highway, then take a right into Dartford Drive
- Continue North on Dartford Dr for 1 mi (1.6 km), then turn right onto Ballard Road
- Continue on Ballard Rd for 0.5 mi (0.8 km) until you reach it's end, then continue straight on the paved road/driveway.
- Contiue straight through the trees, then bear left to enter the venue's parking lot.
Where should guests park?
There is a parking lot on-site, and parking is free. No valet service.
Is the event indoors or outdoors?
Technically both. The ceremony will be outdoors (unless it rains), and the reception will be indoor and outdoors under a covered patio. We will have outdoor games for everyone (unless it rains), so please bring sun protection if desired.
What will the weather be like?
Typically Spokane is fairly sunny and warm in late May. However, this is not a guarantee, so we will have a weather update under this Q&A heading several days beforehand. Be prepared to bring an umbrella and appropriate outerwear, or sun protection as needed.

Can I bring a date?
We have a strict guest list in order to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation/envelope.
What does the wedding day timeline look like?
1:00 - Ceremony
1:30 to 2:30 - Pictures and social hour
2:35 - Reception and dinner
4:30 - First dance
6:45 - Last dance
7:00 - Send off
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
We ask that guests not take photos during the ceremony. But you're welcome to take them during the reception!
What kind of food will be served?
Barbecue! Brisket, pulled pork, turkey, potato salad, baked beans, mac & cheese, coleslaw, cornbread, and cake! Beverages will be non-alcoholic, including water, soda, lemonade, and sweet tea.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP (online) by Saturday May 7th. See RSVP page on our site.
Will you be streaming the wedding online?
No.
