Anna & Ronan

April 18–19, 2025 • Belfast, UK

The idea of a traditional wedding fills us with terror.

There will be no service to attend. Instead, the two of us are eloping to a secret location along the Causeway Coast, where an ancient handfasting ritual will unite us. When we return to Belfast as a married couple, the celebrations with everyone can begin.

A photographer and videographer will be present for the elopement, and we will post what they capture on this website for anyone to watch.

The Celebrations

Day One

A intimate meal with our immediate family will be followed by an evening celebration with the rest of our guests at Waterman House.

Although we would have loved to offer a three course meal to you all, our budget does not extend that far. Instead, the evening will include a drinks reception, BBQ, a live band, and dancing. The evening will start at at round 6:30pm (subject to change) and continue until late.

We hope you take time earlier in the day to explore our favourite city and have drinks in the culturally rich pubs near by. Please click on the 'Things to Do in Belfast' tab for some recommendations.

Day Two

We know that some of you will have travelled a long distance to celebrate with us, and one evening doesn't seem enough.

Please feel free to join us the next day (19th April), for a more relaxed drinks reception and traditional music session at the Oyster Rooms in Whites Tavern. Arguably Belfast's oldest bar (established in 1630), it is one of the most authentic places in Belfast.

Time (TBC)

P.s.

We are double-barreling our surnames to become Lawrenson-Mac Devitt, and Anna respectfully asks not to be referred to as Mrs.
