Our Wedding

Cody and Anna have known each other forever. They met at church and knew each other in passing for years. Then they went on a mission trip together to Lake Traverse, South Dakota summer of 2016 and became quite good friends. Cody even wanted to ask Anna out, but Anna's parents had a strict rule of no dating until age 16. So Cody (not so) patiently waited until her 16th birthday to ask her out, which he promptly did first thing on November 22, 2016. The rest is history.

If walls could talk, Mayowood's might direct you to the white oak tree beneath which Dr. Charles H. Mayo designed the 48-room mansion. In 1911, the family moved in, and for the next nearly 60 years, three generations of Drs. Mayo lived in the stately home in the countryside near Rochester, MN.

Built in the Tudor-style, it was the home of Dr. Henry and Daisy Plummer.&nbsp;&nbsp;Originally called Quarry Hill, it has many innovations considered novel for their time.&nbsp;&nbsp;Visit the water tower, gardens, and the two caves going into the house and tower.

Learn more about the exceptional bronze sculptures of Charles Eugene Gagnon. When Chuck passed away in 2012, the museum was founded to honor his legacy of 50 creative years in bronze sculpture. Our residence houses his studio and bronze sculptures created by this Minnesotan sculptor. The museum and studios provides a tranquil environment to enjoy beautiful examples of Chuck's figurative sculpture.
