It all started one warm spring evening in a little town called Amherst, MA. Anna was finishing up her senior year of nursing school at UMass, and Dan was a free-spirited musician, playing local shows with his band, Wax On. Anna had many friends in the local music scene and decided to “get to the gig” at the Unitarian Church, and it just so happened that Wax On was playing that night. Standing in the crowd, she noticed the handsome guy with a shaved head and a cool denim jacket playing guitar up on stage- and the rest is history.
When Anna and Dan met, neither expected that a casual UMass fling would lead to much more. Neither were there to fall in love- just to drink some beers and have fun. They quickly realized that they had found something special in one another. Drawn together by their shared love of music, adventure, and laughter, their relationship quickly blossomed. Anna moved in with Dan (and friends) later that summer. Some may call that reckless, but they called it love.
Over the next 10 years, Anna and Dan would live in 6 different apartments in 3 different states. They would hold each other in times of crisis and celebrate in times of joy. There have been many moments of uncertainty but they have made it through together. Dan keeps Anna grounded, and Anna keeps Dan on track. Through their symbiotic relationship they are able to bring out the best in one another. It also helps that they share the exact same brand of humor that some may call weird, but makes them cry with laughter. Anna and Dan joke that they have the “same brain” - this effortless synchronicity was discovered very early on in the relationship and has only grown stronger with time. (Despite their telepathic connection, Anna was extremely surprised when Dan proposed!)
Anna’s favorite things about Dan: his smile, his beautiful blue eyes, the way he can make her laugh until her abs are sore and tears are flowing down her cheeks, his childlike sense of wonder, the way he is able to understand other people’s perspectives, his true desire to learn and grow as a person, the fact that he loves her cooking, the way he stands by his words, his sensitivity, his creativity, his passion for music, his love for their cats, the way he is not afraid to be uniquely himself.
Dan’s favorite things about Anna: How she hums alone to herself while doing menial tasks around the house, her cute little button nose. Her perfect teeth! He loves her big beautiful, brown eyeballs that he would love to pluck out of her head and eat for supper, her lovely little gentle hands that never stop moving or creating, her forgiving nature, her insatiable artistic drive and spirit, her ability to make him cry, cough, heave, etc. with laughter unlike anybody else can, and her unwavering desire to encourage him and support him to be the best person he can be.
Anna and Dan are ecstatic to start this new chapter of their lives and are so excited to celebrate turning the page with you <3
