Who would’ve thought a girl from Germany and a farm boy from Iowa would make the perfect match?

Being in a military family, I spent most of my time traveling the world to places like Greece, Italy, England, Germany, and all over the United States. You can always find me planning my next adventure, whether it’s a day in the city, a visit to my family in Germany, or a thrill like scuba diving. I dream of opening my own backyard zoo and becoming the ultimate crafter when stuck at home. When life brought me to Nebraska, I didn’t expect to make it my home. The plan was to get my nursing degree and then pack up my stuff to be a travel nurse for years to come. But after a first date with a man in cowboy boots and a button-up shirt, I was hooked.

I grew up on my family farm in southwest Iowa and am the youngest of seven children. Some of my favorite memories were helping bale hay in the summers and working with my twin brother Noah to fix up some of the old buildings on the farm. Though I work from home in the IT field, I still dream of having an acreage someday with a big garden, horses, and plenty of room for kids to run around. After meeting Anna, I finally know who I’m going to share that dream with. Somehow, she even convinced me to get my passport and go on an international trip with her. I was a little hesitant at first, but now I can’t wait for the next one!
