Who would’ve thought a girl from Germany and a farm boy from Iowa would make the perfect match?

Being in a military family, I spent most of my time traveling the world to places like Greece, Italy, England, Germany, and all over the United States. You can always find me planning my next adventure, whether it’s a day in the city, a visit to my family in Germany, or a thrill like scuba diving. I dream of opening my own backyard zoo and becoming the ultimate crafter when stuck at home. When life brought me to Nebraska, I didn’t expect to make it my home. The plan was to get my nursing degree and then pack up my stuff to be a travel nurse for years to come. But after a first date with a man in cowboy boots and a button-up shirt, I was hooked.

Anna's Story

I grew up on my family farm in southwest Iowa and am the youngest of seven children. Some of my favorite memories were helping bale hay in the summers and working with my twin brother Noah to fix up some of the old buildings on the farm. Though I work from home in the IT field, I still dream of having an acreage someday with a big garden, horses, and plenty of room for kids to run around. After meeting Anna, I finally know who I’m going to share that dream with. Somehow, she even convinced me to get my passport and go on an international trip with her. I was a little hesitant at first, but now I can’t wait for the next one!

The friends who got us here

Noah is the older twin brother of the groom by only 30 minutes! He has experience working as an ER nurse and never shies away from a DIY project. Whether it's lending a hand with a project or answering a medical question, he’s usually the first person anyone calls.

Denise has known the bride since first grade when they met on the playground in Germany. They’ve been close friends ever since, traveling together on countless adventures, with many more to come. Denise speaks four languages and is always eager to learn something new and discover what lies around the river bend!

Justin has known the groom since preschool and is the go-to person for any tech questions. He loves his coffee and is always trying to find new ways to make a low calorie meal.

Hanna has been a friend to the bride for over a year. With all the knowledge to answer any question and an outgoing, easy-to-talk-to nature, she’s the perfect person to have around in any situation.

Hannah Smith 

Nick has known the groom since birth and has spent the past few years moving around the US while enlisted in the Navy. He’s currently stationed at Offutt Air Force Base, which, ironically, is the farthest from any sea!

Emma has been friends with the bride for over a year. She is the best listener you will ever find and always comes with great advice. She is also a nurse and the go-to person for the bride to share all her hospital stories with!

Nate has known the groom since preschool and is always the first to offer help whenever needed. With extensive experience in carpentry, he’s the type to say, 'Why pay someone to do it when you can do it yourself!'

Maddie was the first friend the bride met here in Nebraska and has been a constant ever since. She is the go-to person for baking tips and tricks and to daydream about their Anne of Green Gables fantasy life.

Recommended hotel that is only a 4-minute drive from the Bellevue Berry &amp; Pumpkin Ranch! The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service but keep in mind it runs on a first come first serve basis. Although we haven’t arranged room blocks, we encourage you to explore the many wonderful hotels nearby. Booking in advance is recommended as availability may be limited.
