Our Wedding

We first met in 2019 at a party in Christiansburg, VA — the same town where we’ll soon say “I do.” From the moment we met, there was an undeniable connection, but the timing wasn’t quite right (yet). A friendship formed, and it wasn’t until June 11, 2021, that we officially started dating — thanks to the Maid of Honor, our very close friend, who comedically pressured Cyrus into “making things official.” We’ve been inseparable ever since! Once our relationship became official, everything moved quickly in the best way possible. Just three months later, we moved in together in Reston, VA — a true “when you know, you know” moment. We spent a few wonderful years in Northern Virginia, strengthening our bond and creating lifelong connections with each other’s friends and families. In September 2024, we moved to Charlotte, NC, and soon after, we both knew it was time to take the next step. On June 5, 2025, Cyrus proposed. He had been planning for months: working with Anna’s favorite jeweler to design a custom engagement ring, buying her piles of white dresses to prepare for the big surprise, making sure her nails were always freshly done, and whisking her away on romantic dates so she wouldn’t suspect a thing. Needless to say, he pulled it off perfectly. Cyrus took Anna to Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens, where he had secretly coordinated with the staff and a photographer to have the entire property to themselves. Thousands of white rose petals and glowing candles lined the path in front of flowering shrubs and fountains. As they strolled through the gardens, Anna didn’t notice how nervous Cyrus was until he stopped, got down on one knee, and asked her to spend forever with him. In a perfectly “us” moment, Cyrus opened the ring box upside down, revealing an empty box and filling the air with laughter — a story we’ll never stop telling. After she said yes, the evening continued with a romantic dinner and a stay at the beautiful Duke Mansion. It couldn’t have been more perfect. We truly see each other as best friends and often joke that we can read each other’s minds. Our relationship is carefree, full of laughter, appreciation, and joy. We cannot wait to begin the rest of our lives together!

Sarina and Anna have been best friends since junior year of college, and their friendship has only grown stronger over the years. She’s thoughtful, kind, and the type of friend who always has your back no matter what. Sarina is also the reason Cyrus finally asked Anna to be his girlfriend, and for that, she’ll always hold a special place in their love story. She loves music festivals, being surrounded by friends, and sharing in life’s best moments. To Anna and Cyrus, Sarina isn’t just a best friend — she’s family.

Whether bartending, DJing, or dancing at a festival, he brings an energy that everyone gravitates toward. He’s not only a brother but a lifelong friend who Cyrus and Anna know they can always count on.

Langlee and Anna also became best friends in college, bonding over endless laughs, adventures, and new experiences. Caring and dependable, Langlee is someone you can always count on — but she’s also the one encouraging everyone to live life to the fullest and try new things. From rock climbing and horseback riding to music festivals and travel, she brings a spark of joy to everything she does. Her adventurous spirit and constant support make her an irreplaceable friend.

Kyle is one of Cyrus’s fraternity brothers and a close friend to both Anna and Cyrus. With his “golden retriever” energy, Kyle is loving, enthusiastic, and lights up every room he’s in. In 2022, he even officiated Anna and Cyrus’s unofficial (but unforgettable) ceremony at Electric Forest, so it feels perfect that he’ll also be officiating their wedding day. Kyle’s warmth and genuine love for people make him a friend everyone is lucky to have.

Julia is Anna’s sister and lifelong role model. Strong, resilient, and deeply loving, Julia has always been a steady presence in Anna’s life. As a mother of three, she embodies patience, grace, and warmth. She’s someone who has guided Anna through life with wisdom and love, and she continues to be an inspiration every single day.

Alex is Anna’s older brother and has always been one of the most important people in her life. Kind, caring, and selfless, Alex is the type of person who would do anything to help others. Growing up, he was Anna’s protector, someone she always looked up to — and now he’s become a close friend to Cyrus as well. His love and support for both of them mean more than words can say.

When she’s not making art, she loves music festivals and time with friends. Leslie is the type of friend who makes you feel instantly cared for, and her unwavering support means the world.

He even lived with Anna and Cyrus in Northern Virginia for a time, making him an integral part of their story. She’s also an animal lover and proud dog mom, and her caring spirit is just one of the many reasons Anna treasures her friendship.

It’s a small, easy-to-navigate airport with daily flights connecting through larger hubs like Charlotte, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. Ground transportation options include rental cars, rideshare (Uber/Lyft), and taxis, though availability can be limited in the area — we recommend arranging your ride in advance whenever possible.

Welcome Party Dress Code

Cocktail (Relaxed &amp; Festive) Think elevated but comfortable — polished without being overly formal. For women, a short sundress with heels or elevated sandals is perfect, as is a maxi dress. For men, slacks or khakis paired with a button-down shirt work great. Jackets and ties are not required. We kindly ask that guests avoid jeans for this event. Most importantly, wear something you feel great in and ready to kick off the weekend with us!

Garden Formal (Elevated &amp; Vibrant) Our ceremony and reception will be outdoors in a garden setting, so we invite guests to dress in garden formal attire — formal, polished, and romantic, with comfort in mind. For women, floor-length gowns or elevated midi dresses are encouraged. Think flowy silhouettes, refined fabrics, and dressy sandals or heels suitable for grass and outdoor paths. Floral prints and soft, romantic colors are especially welcome. For men, a suit or dress slacks paired with a dress shirt is appropriate. A tie is optional but encouraged, and lighter fabrics or colors are encouraged for a fresh, garden-inspired look. No tuxedos necessary. Our wedding party will be wearing sage green and lavender, so we kindly ask guests to avoid those specific shades. Complementary soft neutrals, pastels, and nature-inspired tones are perfect. Most importantly, choose something that feels elegant, comfortable, and celebration-ready for a full evening of outdoor festivities.
