"The Green Cathedral," Mill Creek Park ranks among the largest metro parks in the United States. There are multiple lakes for fishing, boating, and kayaking. Historic sites include Lanterman's Mill, Pioneer Pavilion, and the Mill Creek Furnace. The park features two 18-hole golf courses, batting cages, volleyball courts and tennis courts. Last but not least, the wedding reception will take place inside the Davis Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens, one of the park's crown jewels.
Founded in 1919 by Joseph G. Butler, Jr., the Butler Institute is the first museum of American art. The original structure, dedicated in 1919, is a McKim, Mead and White architectural masterpiece listed on the National Register of Historic places. The Butler's mission is to preserve and collect works of art in all media created by citizens of our country. The Institute's holdings now exceed 20,000 individual works, and the Butler is known worldwide as "America's Museum."

The McDonough Museum of Art at Youngstown State University is located directly across the street and functions as a center for contemporary art, ideas and education. The Museum supports student, faculty, and alumni work. Closed Sunday.
