If you're a boater, bring your boats! The Columbia Gorge is known for fantastic whitewater! We really love paddling here. It's hard saying what will be running in the fall, but there will definitely be class 2-5 runs that will be flowing within an hour of the wedding venue. We would be stoked to see rafts and kayaks on your rigs.
The Columbia Gorge is known for its fruit, particularly its grapes. There's many wineries to check out in this area. We really like Marchesi and Gorge White House in Hood River, and Core in Lyle WA to name a few.
Post Canyon in Hood River and Syncline or Nestor in White Salmon are incredible trail systems. Whether you like big air, steep flow, or mellow XC, there's something in the gorge for you.
Welcome to the PNW! There's so many trails in this area for you to choose from. There's loads of cool waterfall hikes along the gorge between here and Portland. There's also bunches of trails in the Gifford Pinchot National Forrest at the base of Mt. Adams, as well as the Mt. Hood National Forrest at the base of Mt. Hood. I'd recommend checking out AllTrails or another hiking trail database. Don't forget to check out Multnomah Falls on your way east from PDX.
There's plenty of breweries to inspect here in the Gorge. Working Hands and Ferment in Hood River are watering holes that we like to frequent, as well as Everybody's in White Salmon. If you like dive bars, Chips in Bingen is worth checking out.
A nice fall day in the gorge is a good time to hit the links. Check out Indian Creek Golf Course for starters.
Yes, there happens to be a Quilt Show this weekend! Go check it out if you're looking for something to do.
