Do I need a passport?

Every person traveling to Mexico will need a valid passport, including infants. If you do not have a passport book, you should apply for one now as the process can take several months. Please check your current passport, as passport books should not expire within 6 months AFTER travel. Even though your passport may be valid, the airline can deny boarding if your passport expires 6 months after travel. Do not risk it, renew if you are due!

What airport do I fly into?

Cancun international airport (CUN) is the closest, which will be about a 40 minute drive to the resort.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

Round trip airport transportation can be added to your hotel reservation at the time of booking. You may choose from shared or private. Please see travel website (room reservation link) for more details.

When should we book?

ASAP! We have a resort room block for Wednesday afternoon through Saturday morning (3 nights). If you are wanting to extend your trip you are able to do so for the same discounted group rate, up to 5 days before/after. However, the beachfront is very popular and availability will QUICKLY become limited. We recommend booking the dates you want now, as reservation deposits only costs the price of one night. We kindly ask that you make your reservation ASAP since full payments are due September 1st 2026.

Can I bring children?

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be limited to specific children and listed on your invitation — This is because the resort has accommodated us to allow children at the adults only beachfront for formal wedding events, and we are limited on the number that they have approved.

Do I have to stay at the resort to attend the wedding?

YES. GUESTS MUST STAY AT THE RESORT TO ATTEND WEDDING EVENTS.

Is there a dress code for the wedding? Will it be indoors or outdoors?

Please dress in beach semi-formal attire. The wedding will be hosted outside on the pool terrace of the beachfront, overlooking the beach. No jeans please. Dress to impress! Wear the fun dress you’ve been saving in your closet!

When is my deadline to book my room within the wedding group and when are payments due?

Room reservations are due by July 1st 2026. The cost to reserve your room is the price of your room for one night. Full payments are strictly due by September 1st 2026 for your room. Flights can be bought at a later date if needed. Reservations are open now and expected to quickly fill up. Please book your room asap if you are likely going to extend past the 3 nights that we have blocked. From guests feedback, most will be adding on Saturday night and leaving Sunday morning.

Are all rooms created equal?

There are several categories of room options at the Beachfront; garden, ocean view, beachfront, and swim up suites. As a heads up, a limited number of beachfront rooms are available for guests who would enjoy a private balcony, perfect for coffee in the morning or a quiet place to unwind between events. Some of the rooms include direct access to the beach, such as select beachfront rooms and all of the swim up suites.

Am I allowed to stay at the adjacent family friendly resort?

If you are an adult traveling without children, no. We are extremely limited on the number of rooms blocked on the family side, and taking one of these spots as an adult only group would remove a family from being able to attend our wedding. Each guest on our list is invited with the intend to get to spend quality time together. Making a reservation at the family friendly side limits the amount of time we will get to see you, as those guests do not have access to the beachfront. Thank you for understanding and please reach out if you have any questions.

How do I book my flights?

Look for flights into Cancun National Airport (CUN). You can book with your preferred airline. Please ensure the name listed on your airline reservation matches your passport book exactly. The travel agency recommends using Google Flights to find the best price.

Do I still need to rsvp if I have reserved my room?

Yes, please do not skip this. It’s important to rsvp for wedding day, pre/post events, and list any food allergies. By the way, we might even include song requests here;)

What if I need to cancel?

If the cancellation is received between the booking date and October 1st, 2026; the reservation is refundable. If the cancellation is received between October 2, 2026 and December 2, 2026; one-night penalty fee may apply. If the cancellation is received on or after December 3, 2026; full payment penalty will apply and no refund will be provided. Please review the cancellation terms on the travel website for additional details. Again the link can be found under the “ room reservation” tab.

Is it safe to travel to Playa Del Carmen?

According to the U.S. State Department travel advisory, the area where we’re getting married is considered a Level 1/2—not higher—meaning routine safety precautions are all that’s recommended. That’s the same advisory level many popular international destinations have (Europe, Caribbean, Spain, etc). Statistically, we’re safer there than in many big U.S. cities. Organized criminal activity in Mexico tend to concentrate in specific states and regions where rival cartels compete, and most incidents do not target tourist. These areas are generally 1300+ miles to the west, near Jalisco & surrounding areas. Quintana Roo — where Playa del Carmen is located — is not on any “do not travel” list and remains a highly visited, internationally regulated tourist destination. All of the surrounding states are also a level 1/2, which means they are safer than most places in America. Please keep in mind travel insurance and private group transportation is available for guests to book individually.
