Questions Leading up to the Big Day

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

Each invitation will arrive with an RSVP card. Please return it in the mail with your response or use our website (details TBD).

What date should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by June 15, 2024. You will soon be able to RSVP on our website. Invitations will also come with a pre-addressed and stamped return envelope.

Plus-ones and Children

We have taken great care to make sure our wedding is as inclusive as possible. At the same time, we are also working within a budget and could not extend invitations to every person we know and love. Please check your invitation for more details. If you have any questions about your invite, please call or text Annie directly.

What health and safety measures will be in place?

Out of consideration for our guests who are immunocompromised, please take a COVID-19 test before attending our wedding festivities. We love you all dearly, and we would rather celebrate with you masked--or at a later date--if you do not feel well the week or day of our event.

Here are the latest CDC COVID-19 guidelines if needed.

Questions about the Ceremony

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

The ceremony will begin at 12:00pm. Please arrive 15-20 minutes beforehand to secure your parking spot and your seat. Parking for our ceremony is currently in flux, so plan to take a little bit of a walk between your car and the chapel. (Updated 03/02/2024)

Where should I sit in the chapel?

Please choose a seat, not a side! We’re all family now because of the groom and bride 😊

Questions about the Reception

Don’t miss the receiving line at our reception!

The bride and groom want to greet each guest and take our picture with you. The receiving line and our cocktail hour begin at 5:45 pm, and guests will be seated for dinner by 6:45 pm.

Shuttle Service?

For those guests staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Cleveland Airport, a shuttle will be available to take you to the reception and back to the hotel at the end of the night. Schedule TBD.

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Please share your dietary restrictions and allergies with us in your invitation RSVP (either mail-in or online)! We know we have several guests with significant dietary challenges and we want our meal to be as inclusive as possible. Our venue is happy to accommodate, and we will have a special meals and desserts prepared for those who communicate ahead of time.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, our reception is an open bar and will have two bar stations—one at the front of the room and a larger station in the back.

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

Like Cinderella’s ball, our reception ends at 12:00 midnight…unless you’d like to help us sweep up like her mice friends, in which case we won’t turn away the help!

We are not having an after party.

Logistical Questions

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues? Are they wheelchair accessible?

Ceremony: Amasa Stone Chapel, 10940 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44106

The chapel is located on Case Western Reserve University’s campus and accessible from Euclid Avenue. The ceremony venue has a wheelchair ramp and accessible entrance on the opposite side of the building from the parking lot.

Reception: Donauschwaben German Cultural Center, 7370 Columbia Rd, Olmsted Falls, OH 44138

Often referred to as “the German Hall,” the venue’s driveway is on the western side of Columbia Road and is marked by a brick wall and large marquee sign. The venue is ADA accessible.

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue(s)?

The wedding ceremony and reception are being held at two locations with a significant break in between. For those coming in from out of town, we recommend renting a car for the weekend. You can also take an Uber or Lyft to/from the ceremony and other locations.

Indoor or outdoor wedding events?

Our ceremony and reception will both be indoors and both venues have air conditioning. Our reception venue has a lovely patio for those seeking fresh air.

What is your Wedding Dress Code?

For the ceremony, please wear something dressy that you might wear to church or to a nice dinner. For our reception, we are requesting cocktail or formal attire, whichever is most comfortable for our guests.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

After our ceremony and before the reception, you have a few hours to explore the city or grab a bite.

Text Annie in advance if you’re coming from out of town and are looking for recommendations! We have also included a list of fun activities on our Things to Do Page.

Some of our favorite restaurants, should you need a recommendation are Italian (Nino’s in North Ridgeville, anything in Little Italy, Italian Village in Strongsville…we can go on), but if you’re hoping to do something a little different since we’re having Italian for our reception dinner, try out Barrio (tacos) or Landmark (BBQ) in Lakewood, Corner Alley on East 4th downtown (great flatbreads!), Buckeye Beer Engine (Lakewood), MELT (Lakewood), or Szechwan Garden in Lakewood (pick up only, but our favorite Chinese restaurant). For those staying at our hotel block, Hatfield’s Goode Grub is just up the road in Kamm’s Corner and offers great soul food!

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Sure! Please make sure to tag @anniemorino on Instagram or @annie.morino on Facebook so we can enjoy them too!

What is your wedding hashtag?

#ToHaveAndToHydrant

…we could probably use some help with these! Let us know if you have a more clever idea.
