Travel & Accommodation
Do you have a hotel room block?
Yes we do! We have a block of rooms reserved for our guests at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Cathedral City Palm Springs. Additional information and a link to book within the block is available on the "Travel" page of our website.
Do we have to stay in the hotel room block?
No, you do not HAVE to stay in the hotel room block.
Although we worked hard to secure the best possible rates for our family and friends during a very busy and high-demand weekend in the desert, we know that different people have different travel preferences and you are welcome to book your own accommodation in the Palm Springs area.
What if I want to stay in the hotel and expand my trip outside of the room block dates?
While we cannot guarantee rates for nights outside of our designated room block, we will work with the hotel on a case by case basis to try our best to accommodate our guests who want to extend their trip to the desert! (Although for guests planning to stay beyond the wedding weekend, an Air BnB or VRBO may be the best option.)
Will there be a shuttle to/from the hotel and venue?
We want to make sure all of our guests have a safe and easy way to get to and from the wedding, so instead of a traditional shuttle, we’re providing Uber vouchers for everyone!
These vouchers can be used to and from our venue on March 15th, anytime between 4 PM and midnight, so you can arrive and depart whenever it works best for you.
The promo code will be posted on our website and it will also be listed in the ceremony programs.
What will the weather be like?
While we can't predict the weather, historically Palm Desert in mid-March is sunny with temperatures in the mid-70s to mid-80s, and we are hoping this trend continues for our wedding weekend!
The Ceremony & Reception
Will the wedding be inside or outside?
Both! (Weather permitting, of course) Our plan is to have the ceremony and cocktail hour outside, while the dinner and dancing will happen inside. Should the weather be unfavorable, all festivities will move indoors.
Is there a dress code?
While there is no "official" dress code, vibrant formal attire is appreciated. You're on vacation (even if just for the weekend), so we want to see you dress up and have fun with it!
What does "vibrant formal attire" mean?
In the 1930s, Palm Springs was known as the desert getaway for Hollywood stars. We want to lean in to this glamorous and fun history for our wedding celebration and invite you to join us in how you dress! So bring that electric blue cocktail dress that has been hanging in your closet just waiting for the perfect occasion and pack the purple suit you had to get to be a groomsman in that one wedding. Bold patterns, bright colors, ruffles, feathers, and sequins are encouraged. (Please, just leave white evening gowns for the bride)
I still don't get it... do you have pictures?
Of course! Here is some inspiration to get your creative juices flowing:
AM I ALLOWED TO BRING CHILDREN OR A GUEST?
We love all of the children in our life, but we simply can't invite them all. And although we usually say the more the merrier, we have limited capacity for guests. Please check your formal invitation for the specific names and number of seats we have reserved for you.
