Ketara and Anthony technically went to the same high school… but apparently the universe decided to wait until 2019 to say, “Alright y’all, now it’s time.”
And it all started with Ketara doing what any reasonable person with a crush would do: posting a subliminal-but-not-really-subliminal message on Facebook saying she always wanted to see Anthony perform—but referring to him only as “him.” Smooth, right?
Anthony, being Anthony, didn’t just comment. Oh no. He posted a full response post with his show flyer like,
“Meet me here, babe.”
Direct. Confident. Zero confusion.
The show was at The Union EAV, and Ketara came in with a mission:
Sneak in.
Watch Anthony perform.
Sneak out before he spotted her.
A flawless plan… in theory.
Anthony didn’t see her come in, so Ketara thought she was in the clear. But during his set, while scanning the crowd like a hawk, he spotted her posted up in the corner trying to blend in with the décor.
After his performance, Anthony attempted to glide through the crowd to get to her, but let’s be real—he was pushing through like a man on a mission. Meanwhile, Ketara was trying to escape like, “Nope, not today.”
But fate—and a packed venue—said otherwise. He caught her.
They talked, laughed, watched more performers, and then Anthony made the fatal mistake of looking away for two seconds. Ketara vanished like a magician.
He rushed to the exit, got stopped twice, and finally saw her driving off with the window down. He flagged her down like he was hailing a taxi in New York. She stopped. They exchanged numbers. Boom—history made.
Fast-forward to February 18, 2024. Anthony told Ketara to meet him on the Jackson Street Bridge. She agreed (even though bridges are basically her natural enemy). When she arrived, she found roses, Anthony on one knee, and a ring—no escape plan necessary.
Ketara said YES.
And now they’ll officially seal the deal on May 16, 2026, proving once and for all that you can’t sneak away from destiny.
