San Francisco Bay Area where Anya was born is a beautiful very eclectic mix of vibrant landscape with gorgeous coastlines, soaring snowcapped mountains and valley floor bursting with flowers. It is a land of culinary delights and caters to every kind of cuisine and preferences. Some of the sights not to be missed are The Golden Gate Park, Pier 39, Alcatraz Island and Chinatown. It also boast some of the best wines in the world and highly recommended is a trip to Napa and Sonoma. A must stop is the 1881 Oakville Grocery in Napa which serves some amazing sandwiches and of course wines!! If you are in more of an adventurous mood then a 3-4 hour drive from the Bay takes you to the majestic Yosemite National Park (advance permit/reservations maybe needed) and Lake Tahoe. If you need a sea change then head down to Monterey/Careml via Pacific Highway 1 which is a very scenic drive down the coast. If you are lucky you may sight a whale or seal.
