Our story begins in Charleston, WV. Craig and I met at the local rock climbing gym, eNeRGy, on the first day of my inpatient pediatrics rotation at CAMC. I was scheduled for two weeks of day shift followed by two weeks of night shift, ultimately giving us a two week time window to meet each other. Craig wasn't even going to go to the gym that night. However, he did! We made the most of those 4 weeks together. I was never happier to get as little sleep as I did. During this time, we celebrated Craig's birthday featured in this picture.

We moved into our first ever apartment together and quickly added our first baby! Mister Tiberius quickly made an impression on both of us and started our rescue addiction.

Welcome to the family Julia! She was depressed when we found her, but Julia has become a happy, loving, trustworthy member of the pack.

Shortly after moving into our forever home, we met our little singer Mickey. His mother was unable to care for him so we started taking care of him at only 4 weeks old - he was so small he needed a heat lamp used for chickens!

The day we discovered Turtle. He was being escorted across the road (hence his name) by a pack of local cats. When they saw we meant him no harm, they let us take him to the vet, where we helped him recover from his nasty injury.

Visiting Arkansas and winning the first year of the 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell Bouldering competition was a magical experience for both of us

Welcome to the pack Seneca! He was an instant hit with the cats, and he has grown on our dogs with time!

Turtle's last surgery! After lots of stress and kitty meds, Turtle now gets to be a happy healthy tripod kitty.

The day we learned we would be adding our first non-rescue baby to the pack! We haven't met Oliver Beaumont Yeomans yet but we already love him to pieces.
