The year was two thousand and fourteen and Tinder was the cool dating app on the single’s scene. April happened to be visiting Santa Monica from New Jersey for a work related event and, well Jer lived in Palmdale and had to set a very large search radius on the dating app to have a snowball’s chance in hell of reaching distant eligible singles outside the desert. Not too surprising April and Jer happened both swiped to the “hot” side. Upon matching April immediately made Jer aware she wasn’t from the area (sad face) but wanted to meet some new people, grab a beer, and maybe some food. Since Palmdale had nothing interesting, Jer offered to meet her on a work night at the Library Ale House on Santa Monica Blvd. From what he could tell the date went extremely well, there was great chemistry, and great energetic conversation. During their conversation:- April asked, “Do you like to travel?”- Jer responded, “Yes, I am actually going to Seattle in August with my guy friends.”- April, “What! I will be there in August as well. Probably not the same dates”- Jer, “Well I will be there August 15-17. How about you?”- April, “NO WAY!! I will be there the same dates! Bullshit show me your itinerary.” Jer quickly ran off to the bathroom and book his flight so he could show April that his story was legit. Just kidding, that would make this story terrible. By sheer coincidence, luck, fate, or whatever you want to call it April and Jer would be in Seattle on the same exact dates, but neither one of them believed it until they promptly pulled out their phones to show their itineraries and stories held up. Thinking he had all the positive momentum on his side at the end of the date Jer tried for a kiss and got the cheek (ouch fail). Seattle is where April and Jer really connected and their first magical kiss happened! For the next year they did random weekend trips to Rockies to Ski, New York, Vegas, Atlantic City, Philadelphia, Jamaica, and visited each other’s home towns. After the first year of long distance dating April took the gamble and moved out to San Diego to give full time dating a try. Fast forward 6 years later and now you are all here!

Kyle and Jeremiah became friend senior year of high school, stayed friends through college years in San Diego, and have been roommates several times. These two are like two peas in a pod, if you get one you get the other. Kyle and Jer are always coming up with extreme ideas, last minute decisions, and grand schemes that tend to drive their significant others crazy. Superpower: High Energy and entertainment
Weakness: Dairy

Kyle Cardinal (KFC)

Lieutenant Dan!! Jer and Dan first met at Edwards AFB at the 419th Bomber CTF. After a 419th forced fraternity style naming ceremony, they emerged as Razor (Dan) and Juice (Jer), and against all logic drove to San Diego to party. These two are like brothers as they worked together, lived together for 6 yrs, suffered 3 yrs of Grad School at Cal Poly, and took constant get me out of the Palmdale desert trips. Our similar engineering brains and deviant senses of humor have always kept us close.
Superpower: Pulling G's and not puking
Weakness: Physical activity over 7 miles

Dan Sharpe (Razor)

Met Jer through social events called TAG up transferring to USCD. Became great friends, college partiers, and supported each other through our BSME undergrad. Post college managed by cruel fate both ended up in the Palmdale desert working at Edwards AFB. Amazing friend that you can always rely on.
Superpower: Conservative Logic
Weakness: Brown Magic and napping

Jon Novak (The Sloth)

The Big Mike, let's just say back in the day I have seen this guy fold a few stop signs in half like a soft taco, and turn Denny’s silverware into kid’s balloon animals. First became friends in high school working at Vons in La Costa, "how many shopping carts can you push bro". Younger years creed was to live and die by gym time and carne asada burritos. When we get together we always push the limits with skydiving, Spartan races, and try not to break anything along the way.
Superpower: Folding Stop Signs and making balloon animals out of silverware
Weakness: Carne Asada Fries with 4XX extra sour cream

Mike Dittmer (Big Mike)

Richie and Jer have been friends for the better part of a decade. Richie is like a brother, loves to inject witty comical remarks, dishes out some great sarcasm, and will always be there for you when you need him. Richie and Jer have shared some great adventures in Vegas, San Diego, and Los Angeles. His adult beverage of choice is an old fashion.
Superpower: Tennis and Shotskis
Weakness: Veuve and Getting Locked in Cabs
