We toured the colosseum when it was 100+ degrees and still were in awe. This is a must see if you haven't been - but definitely make sure to book a few months in advance. Pro Tip: Make sure to get a skip the line ticket and include the colosseum underground as part of your tour (trust us)!
The Vatican Musems are another must see destination in Rome. It definitely gets crowded (& hot) so we recommend booking an early morning tour. Or you can do what we did and ditch your tour group and explore on your own.
You can check out the Pantheon while walking around Rome or you can buy a ticket to explore the inside as well!

We stumbled on this spot on one of our last nights in Rome, and were lucky enough to get a table. The food is incredible and we can't recommend it enough.
