Travel Planning

To help with your planning, we wanted to include some info on transportation and lodging during the wedding weekend:

Transportation

Given the welcome event is so close to the recommended hotels (listed below), we won’t be providing transportation to that event but it’s very easy to grab a taxi or Uber if you decided to stay in another area of the city.

Additionally, given restrictions around buses in the area we will be providing transportation back from the wedding venue at the end of the reception, but not to the venue. The return buses will drop off near the Grand Hotel Palace and it may be challenging to get a taxi to another area of the city late at night, so would keep that in mind when selecting your hotels.

To get to the venue it’s quite easy to grab a taxi from one of the two taxi stands in the neighborhood, to call an Uber from your hotel, or have your hotel arrange your taxi pick-up for you. It’s a ~20 minute drive and costs ~20 euros (if taking a taxi you’ll need euros on hand).

Lodging

We’d recommend staying in the Ludovisi / Via Veneto neighborhood for the wedding weekend. It’s a beautiful neighborhood next to Villa Borghese and includes the famous street Via Veneto. The Welcome Party is taking place on the rooftop of the Hotel Splendide Royal which is in the neighborhood and is a very short walk (< 3mins) from any of the hotels in the area. The venue is a ~15-20 minute scenic drive from the neighborhood as well.

Hotel Suggestions

Below are a few suggestions for hotels in our neighborhood but there are many other options nearby - please feel free to stay wherever is most convenient for you! You can also check out Air BnB as well.

Grand Hotel Palace: We’ll be staying at this hotel. For the wedding weekend the price is ~$500 USD per night. We reserved a small block of rooms at this hotel and have a few left - please reach out to Argentina and/or Sarp if interested.

La Residenza: We have some family staying in this hotel and may have a small number of extra rooms available - please reach out to Argentina and/or Sarp if interested. The hotel is ~$475 USD per night for the wedding weekend.

Divina Luxury Hotel: Pricing per night of ~$575 USD.

Aleph Hotel: Pricing per night of ~$630 USD.

Relais Donna Lucrezia: Pricing per night of ~$490 USD.

Hotel Modigliani: Pricing per night of ~$400 USD.

Hotel Barberini: Pricing per night of ~$350 USD.

Albergo Ottocento: Pricing per night of ~$400 USD.

Getting to Rome

We'd recommend flying into Leonardo da Vinci Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) which is about ~45 minutes from the area we are staying. Taxis are a flat ~55 euro fare to get into the city.

If you're traveling by train the main and closest train station is Roma Termini.
