Please join us immediately after the reception for a traditional New Orleans Second Line from The Orpheum Theater to Boot Scootin Rodeo Bar on Bourbon Street. The New Orleans Second Line symbolizes the couple beginning their new life together. It's a parade in the street led by a band, followed by the newlyweds, who hold hand-decorated umbrellas, then the rest of the bridal party and guests who shake handkerchiefs and dance. Tradition says that the shaking of the umbrellas and handkerchiefs is meant to cast away spirits and curses from the couple's marriage!
